I totally love this idea because I ride a lot in the early morning when it's still very dark out. Sa you can see in the photos my helmet has lots of chopped lines so with that the product does not adhere very well. If I attempt to pull it off, or relocate the product, I don't think it would stick so I can't blame the designer for that. If the helmet was round it would have worked. So it is inexpensive enough for me to buy again in the future unless the company wants to send a free promo package. Hint, hint. At the end of the day I will have to remove these and rethink how to reinstall a new set of the same or slightly different to fit this particular helmet. Fantastic idea to keep us riders safe boss. I think the whole concept of the helmet lights like this is awesome. But remember, you get what you pay for. At first these went on fairly easy and straightforward. Clean with soap and water, dry, use alcohol, and apply lights and controller. But that's pretty much where the easiness ends. The LED strips are flexible but also rigid. The original stickiness on the backside of the LED strips seem like it would be enough, but it's not. The lights do not want to stay adhered to the helmet. Any curvature or angle on your helmet creates a fail point. After running to the store and tediously installing double-sided tape to the LED lights and reinstalling them, it lasts a few rides before it starts peeling off again. After about a dozen rides or so, I just ended up taking them off. They look cool, but it's very short-lived. I would like to see a little bit more flexible LED lights, as well as a better adhesive. I really shouldn't have to tape them underneath and over top just to keep them on the helmet. Also the lights make a subtle high pitch whining noise that's kind of annoying, but I'm normally listening to music and can't always hear it. Essentially, you pay $30 bucks and some of your time for a dozen or so rides with helmet lights. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a great little helmet lighting kit. With a little extra effort you can pull off a very clean futuristic look with this kit. You can trim the edges to get the light all the way flush with the edge but be careful not to cut into the lighted section or you will damage the light. You can trim off the ends to fit your helmet and it will stop the light where you cut. I cut the wires and soldered on about 5 inches extra inches of wire in order to run all the wires into the helmet through the back top vents under the fin. I covered all the remaining exposed wire with carbon fiber vinyl tape that matched the carbon fiber shell of this helmet perfectly and then mounted the switch off to the side just behind the helmet cam for ease of access. Finished result looked clean flush with the helmet, I would definitely recommend this kit. With some time and effort and a heat gun and soldering iron you can make this kit work great and it's much cheaper that the pro brand which they charge 80 dollars for and can't be customized as easily. I mounted this to my helmet and was expecting it to be as bright as the pictures but it is not. I’m also having an issue with the leading edge peeling up and not being sticky enough. I think I may upgrade to an actual led light strip instead.
