    • Worked great - straightforward installation
I considered buying just the pump part but decided it would be easier to replace the entire unit. There are three bolts holding it to the frame and you'll have an easier time with the fuel line removal tool. This can be installed by carefully moving it up and around the drive shaft - I did mine in about an hour and that involved sliding around on the ground on cardboard sheets. Wear eye protection - I used goggles because there's a lot of rust and crap that will fall down if your truck has any age on it. You'll need the two connector harness as the newer replacement pumps don't have the heater on them, just the other two connectors. ... show more

I purchased this for my 2005 F-350. It's a perfect fit and is easy to install, as long as you have the proper tools to remove the old one and put this one in. I was happy that it came with a filter already installed. Removing the old one is as simple as disconnecting the 2 fuel lines on the back and the 2 on the front side, unplug the 2 plugs, unbolt the entire unit from the frame, it's a little tricky getting the unit out though because there is a brake line that also runs right underneath the entire unit. Installation is also simple, get the unit set in place, bolt it back to the frame (didn't come with new nuts, had to use the old ones) make sure you didn't get any junk into the fuel lines, put the fuel lines back on. They're different sized so each line only fits 1 connector. Plug the wires back in, make sure they're plugged in good, and the job is done! ... show more

This is the real deal...I priced this from my local dealership at $690.00, This is a no brainer! It is genuine Ford Motorcraft 100%! Installation takes about a half hour. I had to purchase the newer style harness for it that only has 2 plug ins on the pump itself instead of the 3 it had from the factory. This was an easy install and its working great! If you don't have a tool to disconnect the fuel line here is the description to the one I purchased from amazon for this job and it worked perfectly... This replaced my old tired and worn out pump that was original to my 6.0. The original had the heater built in which has been deleted in this replacement HFCM. I did not change out the harness, I simply taped it up extremely well and zip tied it out of place. Install is straight forward and easy to do if you have the basic know how and tools to perform the job. Shouldnt take anymore than 20 to 30 minutes. Just make sure to prime the pump and ensure your top filter cup is full as well before starting (good idea to replace to top filter at this time too). The unit does come with a new genuine Motorcraft filter inside as well, BUT STILL DOUBLE CHECK. Highly recommend buying this unit here to save a few bucks rather than other places, and also for the peace of mind if anything goes wrong you have a company you can file a dispute with. ... show more

Finally got my truck back, I knew the lift pump was failing I was just avoiding the inevitable when the truck was starting to have a hard time pulling an 8k trailer I knew I had to break down and get it.
