If they make this for your vehicle, install it. This Fail-Safe thermostat locks in the open position if it fails & prevents overheating the engine. A definite must have for aluminum engines! Direct fit.

I purchased this thermostat for an 02 jeep liberty because I was replacing several parts of the cooling system. Thus thermostat almost ruined my engine as it was stuck in the closed position and caused overheating issues. I strongly advise to avoid this thermostat at all costs

After having it installed by a garage I had to bring truck back d/t a leak. They said the seal failed. I didn't see any issues with seal when I got it and I am more inclined to think it was an install error. Not that a garage is going to admit it.
