  • Don’t pay stupid high prices for oem mikuni carb parts
The best bang for buck for an 04 Polaris Magnum 330. Overall it’s a decent carburetor. Build quality was good for a cheap carb. Fuel line fittings seemed slightly undersized but it was an easy fix with a small hose clamp. I had to modify a bracket to get it to fit because of a fitting on top of the carb. The fuel filter was too small for my gas line so I couldn’t use it. I installed it straight out of the box and it fired almost immediately and idled perfectly. While running it had a bog at half throttle (same issue I was having with the original mikuni carb). It comes with a 1.4/140 main jet which is larger than the factory size of 122.5, unsure about the pilot jet. It was running lean so I ended up keeping the the 1.4 jet in it and just backing off the air mixture screw 3/4 of a turn (something I couldn’t do with the mikuni unless I drilled out the brass plug blocking the hole). Reinstalled and it ran like it should. Normally I don’t recommend off-brand carbs. However, the oem prices from Polaris online are stupidly high priced and not worth it if you need more than just jets. Can’t beat the price just buy this carb and a different main jet if needed to get it up and running right again. ... show more

  • Complete and total JUNK !
OK , So , This is NOT my first rodeo with such things , I`ve been building / repairing M/Cs , ATV`s Race cars . sandrails , boats ETC for well over 30 yrs ( I owned an M/C , ATV and small engine shop for over a decade , STS Powersports in Conifer CO ) --- I have used a bunch of chinky repop carbs over the years and have ( Mostly) been able to make them work --- this one is a different deal -- Like others said , it overloads ( Leaks @ the bowl stand tube due to a likely incorrect float adjustment or bad float needle ) --- I bench tested mine before install , and , go figure , it puked everywhere , so I adjusted float level and it was still overloading -- turned out to be a bad O-ring on the float needle seat where the brass meets the carb aluminum body , when I pulled it to check , the o-ring was already cracked and split so I replaced it ( I should've known , the the plug on the top cap that the OEM didnt have was split / cracking when it arrived ) , No big deal ( except it was a BRAND NEW part ! ) --- anyway , that cured the issue about overloading on bench test -- Then , Because it was jetted WAY too rich for my altitude, l ATTEMPTED to install the jets from the OEM carb ( Common practice when replacing a carb to get Ya close @ Least ! ) --- The OEM main jet threads/ depth are different and so , Main Jet DOES NOT interchange with this chinky POS ! ( The primary jet DID fit ) --- SO --- I leaned out the needle clip as far as I could & installed it to see what it would do --- No Overloading or leaks , Idles OK after adjustment ( Cool ) , But the thing WILL NOT supply correct fuel mix for anything above dead idle , TOUCH the throttle and it leans out and tries to die --- And Yeah , I tried several things like try it with choke on ( artificially enriched ) , partially close off intake ( in case it wasnt happy running without an airbox, it Is a CV carb after all ) -- ETC , ETC --- Missed my return window due to other jobs I had to do and got ( Hosed ? ) with this one , All I can say is , Even If you know what you`re doing , much less if you really dont , FIND A DIFFERENT SUPPLIER , THIS CARB IS COMPLETE GARBAGE ! --- Gonna pull it back off and take it to the range and see how it likes Chinese/ Rusky ammunition ! --- ( LOL , But , No , REALLY , gonna adjust it with 7.62X39 and then see how it works , couldnt be any worse , Right ? -- ! - ) @ Least I`ll get my revenge ! -- ... show more

  • Runs good, had to use a couple of old parts
Installed on a Polaris 330. I should have listened to the other reviewers lol. This carburetor comes with some big jets, which may be great at sea level but up here at 5,000 feet the carburetor wouldn't run past 1/2 throttle with the air box cover on. I pulled it back out and swapped in the old jet. IMPORTANT- you must use the brass washer from the new jet! My old jet didn't have a washer and when I installed it, it bottomed out before seating. I also had to change out the "hat", I guess you call it, because the capped nipple/vent interfered with my carb brace. That was easy. 4 screws and install my old hat with no vent. Someone mentioned adjusting the carburetor but mine had no adjustments beside the idle screw..... Runs great now! ... show more

  • Change the Jets
Contrary to lots of reviews, the float in this carb hasn't needed adjusted on two of them I've bought. The problem was 180 jets instead of the 135 that came in the Mikuni. I bought a Mikuni rebuild kit for $14 and swapped both jets and this carb runs as good as new. Carb and jets are still cheaper than a new Mikuni. ... show more

  • Good carb for the money
I was surprised by the extras that came with this carb…such as fittings, fuel filter, breather hose, etc. …as well as the quality and fit. Obviously it’s not an OEM quality product but, for the price, you can’t go wrong. I’ve been using it for several months with zero issues.

  • Looked promising- Couldn't use
As many have stated in review. Carb fits well and all. Mine even ran with the hesitation after swapping the old jets in. At the same time my ATV had low run time for the year. 2008 trailblazer 330. It was a garage find that had been stored with fuel in it for a good while. I cleaned the old carb good. First time didn't know about a jet that was clogged. Replaced the pump and Petcock as well. Runs great now on the original carb. but, for the price- the aftermarket unit is worth for parts. I wish it worked as I tried everything. Had it on/off at least 6 times. Got good at it and could change in 5 minutes after the practice... ... show more
