I bought this for the carburetor. It came with all the wires associated with it as well. I figured well I might as well use the wires. So I installed it and then something was smoking and it was the wires. I took the wires off of the original one and installed them on this one and the fire thing didn't happen anymore. We had fair warning by the other reviews that the wiring is wrong on this item and will short out. My husband decided he would use the old wiring instead by removing the new. He then compared wiring on the old and new and it looked correct to him. He gambled....the minute he started the 4 wheeler the wiring started to smoke and fry. He ended up removing the faulty wiring and attaching the old wiring, she runs great. Be prepared to remove the wiring and use your old. ... show more

    • dont hook the wires up
carburetor worked fine but you cannot plug the wires in because it will melt them as it did on mine. also i had to use the old enrichener housing because this on was to small for the cable. other than that the carb fired rite up and ran great.

    • Wire harness melted.
The wire harness melted after replacing. We had to put the original wire harness in, which did not melt. Everything else worked as expected.
