I received these on Nov 3, 2022. Setup was very easy. I had no need to mount them, so I set them on top of tables on opposite sides of the basement. One is near the stairs leading down to the basement. When I walk about 1/2 way down the steps, it comes on. The second one across the room comes on the second I enter the basement. They are extremely bright; far more than I had expected. I can't speak on battery life because I've only had them for a few weeks. These things are BRIGHT! You will be seeing spots after one turns on. I put blue painters tape over the lights and they’re still too bright. I didn’t mind the brightness in the hallway so much but because it was activated so much, it went through batteries pretty quick. The one in the bath is doing fine for batteries but again too bright for middle of the night. ... show more

Small lights, but very, very bright. Put batteries in Sept 28th & put new batteries in Nov 4th. We use one of these lights in our stairwell going down into the basement so it does get used frequently. Like the fact that they can be turned to the "auto" or leave it on all the time (it came in handy when we were looking for something outside). They would also come in handy if you lost power. I like the magnetic base, it sticks well on a metal cabinet and holds its position without moving. It comes with adhesive and mounting screws if you need to mount on a wall or something non-metallic. Works great as a night light, the sensor has a good range of sensitivity.

This light is perfect for anywhere in the home. I have mine in the hallway and kitchen. The problem with this item is even in the daylight the motion sensor will light it up! My solution and inconvenience, I will turn it to auto before bed and turn it to off when I get up. But at least I can place it where I will need light in an emergency, and no searching for flashlights. ... show more
