The media could not be loaded. using in my travel trailer in closets and cabinets that need light. i had other puck lights but sometimes we forget to turn them off and then they the run out of batteries. i bought another set that have automatic off feature but the lights are pretty dim and the lights themselves have a large footprint. these put out a good amount of light for the cabinets and closets that I have them in. so far the motion detection has been good and great to know that they automatically shut off and don't run down the battery. ... show more

I bought this set of 3 motion lights to use in our pantry. When I first put the brand new batteries into each of these, they came on and stayed on for at least 15 seconds. However, after they initially turned off, only one would come again when I waved my hand in front of it. The other two would only turn on again when I removed the batteries and replaced them again. I tried several times in regular light and in a dark space, and the results were the same regardless of the location. The only light that came on again was also defective, because it would turn on immediately after turning off in the pantry. With the light mounted in the pantry, I closed the door and waited 15 seconds, and the light would go off for a partial second before turning on again. This repeated for a few minutes, and I finally determined that it was not working properly. I decided to return the lights instead of exchanging them, because I'm not certain that the quality control is very effective. I am leaving a 2 star review because the lights are bright, and they were effective at lighting a small pantry sufficiently. Instead of trying again with another set of lights that may or may not be defective, I decided to go with a different brand with a touch switch instead. ********** Updated review: The seller contacted me after I returned the lights and left an honest 2 star product review. They sent me a complimentary set even though I was refunded the original purchase price, so I just put the batteries in and tried them out. All three lights work exactly as described. I used a screw to act as a magnetic anchor so I could angle one in the pantry, I put one in the metal utility room door, I put one just inside the garage passage door. All three lights work well, and the motion sensor makes them incredibly convenient. The seller went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied, and I feel that I can now recommend this product to others because of the customer service provided. ... show more

So I really like these motion sensor lights because they're just a little smarter than others that I've seen. Not only do they detect motion, but they also detect light. It makes sense that they would only light up in low light or complete dark situations. Because of this, here are a few uses I've come up with - In various places in my shed where my main lights just don't quite illuminate. This includes my tool cart in the chest style drawers - Exterior doors of the house mounted on the wall/door jamb next to the locks. This really helps me find the right key and find the key hole at night. - In my closet. I don't often turn on the bedroom light in the morning, as not to disturb my wife, so this makes it a LOT easier to find my things without creating a lot of light noise. I'm sure you'll find plenty of uses for these but I can't recommend them enough. My only note? These are not going to illuminate a large area light a lantern would. These are small puck style lights that are mountable with the included 3M 9448A Double Coated Tissue Tape discs. These would work well for utility under cabinet lights, for instance. ... show more

I received the lights and quickly realized that I didn’t have the AAA batteries in the house that would be required to make them work. I picked some up and had no problem getting them set up and installed. I didn’t have any problem whatsoever, however I am curious as to how long the batteries will last. Frankly if they use a lot of battery life, I’ll probably go ahead and pick up some rechargeable AAA batteries because I would hope that’d be a good investment in the long run. I do like the fact that these do not turn on unless it’s fairly dark, which should be an energy-saver in and of itself. A few years ago I was in my basement when we lost power. Without any external light source, the room was pitch black. It went from brightly lit to completely dark. First I saw stars and then I lost my balance, tripping over something and hitting the concrete floor. I hurt myself and still deal with the pain of that incident even today. I bought these lights to help insure that nothing like that happens again going forward. It’s the perfect solution and I’m happy with my purchase. ... show more

I planned to install these in my pantry and coat closet but surprised myself when I discovered the magnet on the back. I have always wanted more light over my stove. The hood lights are too high above and too far out providing only dim light. My warming rack is not magnetic but by adding a small magnet on top of the shelf, it holds the light in place below. They don't light up if all the overhead lights are on full but we usually have them dimmed a bit. these lights are great when I sneak to the coffee pot in the morning before all the lights are on. I did put one in my pantry. It is not even attached. I have it leaning on the side wall on one of the shelves. Comes on every time I open the door. Much better than the light I have stuck on the wall that requires a free hand to switch it on and off. By not attaching it I can move it and use it like a flashlight if I am digging through the back corners. I've moved the light around testing it in drawers and coat closet and even under my computer desk. Too bad it didn't come in a set of 6. ... show more
