I had a 2015 Yukon XL Denali that had the real common problem with intermittent open circuit of the wave solder to the right brake light. The dealer wanted about $800 to replace it. They are a sealed circuit board with, except for the back up lights, an array of LEDs rather than bulbs that you replace. There is a factory replacement program that I don't qualify for because of mileage. I went on line to get educated about the problem and came across these that appear to be a Chinese knock off of the Escalade tail lights. There are youtube videos on how to install them which were some help. The biggest problem was getting the old connectors apart. They are tucked up behind the bumper and you have to get under the vehicle. They were encrusted with crud and made with a locking tab to keep them from coming apart. The videos show you how to take out the old light and the plastic piece above it. There were several Phillips head screws and getting around the struts that hold up the lift gate is a little awkward. It took me a well over an hour. They looked great and got many complements. Then I was in an accident that totaled the vehicle, including the tail lights. I found an identical vehicle and I soon had the same brake light problem. A no brainer. I ordered another set. The replacement Yukon XL Denali had screws that required a special security bit rather than a Phillips screwdriver. Getting the old connectors apart was again difficult, on my back under the vehicle with crud falling on my face. Looked great and worked fine to get the vehicle inspected. A week later the right tail light went out. I tried to contact the supplier but couldn't get beyond Amazon Customer Service chat line. I would have much preferred to actually talk to someone. The solution was to have a new pair of lights sent to me and return the pair I had in the box. I then discovered that I had damaged the old connector in trying to take it apart and was able to repair it. I got back to Amazon Customer Service in time to cancel the order for the replacements. There is next to nothing in the form of instructions with tail lights. There are several Youtube videos that are pretty good but if there is one that really addresses getting the old connectors apart, I haven't seen it. Bottom line is: They look great, work fine, cost much less and should be more reliable than GM originals which have a horrible reputation. They also have LEDs for the back ups that are brighter than the original bulbs. They should be a breeze to install fore someone with a little auto body experience, familiarity with those connectors and access to a lift and a pressure washer. A little challenging to a usually handy do it yourselfer. Two things kept me from giving five stars. 1) The difficulty of getting the old connectors apart. 2) Amazon blocking me from actually talking to the supplier who could have probably helped me with #1 ... show more

As you know certain 2015-2016 Yukon models have had taillight issues. I was on the hunt for just the driver side taillight and soon found that that it is hard to find. If you find one it is expensive. After researching I found the driver side OEM style taillight for $400 plus. This whole set is $400 and are definitely an upgrade. I think they make my Yukon look spectacular. The install was simple and they are truly plug and play. Beware you will have to unplug the taillights from under the rear bumper, not from the back of the taillight. This set comes with a new harness that connects to the harness attached to the truck frame below the rear bumper. I watched a few videos on how to remove the taillights and then went for it. I would recommend pulling the lift support off just the bottom end to allow easier access to the plastic covers and torx screws behind them. If you do remove the lift support, make sure you are supporting the lift gate because removing the lift support does allow the lift gate to fall. I couldn’t be happier, I’m curious to see how well they do a few years down the road. ... show more

The install is easy only one star tool required. The factory harness is a pain to disconnect. Remove the black weather guard top and bottom, Access the factory harness under the bumper directly below the light and remove the pigtail, fish the aftermarket lights pigtail through the gap once you remove the factory light. Connect aftermarket pigtail, tighten down the screws, snap back in the rubber weather guard and job is done, repeat on the opposite side ... show more

Parts arrived earlier than expected and as other reviewers have said, the hardest part is taking the plug a part under the car.
