I have two separate access issues where these will be used. One is an access hole in a wall from pulling wiring and the other is a ceiling repair from a now-fixed leaking drain pipe. Having received this item it's exactly what is needed with a generous 12" square size and good spring clips to hold it in place. I had a similar issue in my previous home and covered the opening that I cut for access to the combo tub/shower with a leftover ceramic floor tile. While that did the job this access panel cover would have been a better solution there, too. ... show more

Dimensions are spot on. The plastic is very slightly playable/very durable. The 1ft-square cutout allows for a good amount of in-wall working area. And the spring holds the access panel nicely to the wall. The 2 clips (which tension against the back of the drywall/panel) are able to bend 180° making it very easy to mount the panel to the wall. I was able to use this with a 3/4” panel with ease. And it looked like it could even handle a slightly thicker panel/drywall (something like a wall with thicker plaster over the drywall). Haven’t painted it yet so, I can comment on that. But I don’t foresee any issues. Overall, this is a fantastic panel and an easy recommendation for consideration. ... show more

    • Perfect for Access Port for Tub/Shower Plumbing
I had to cut a hole out of my wall opposite the Tub/Shower Combo plumbing in order to replace a bad faucet assembly. Once I was done, I ended up putting an old vanity door over it to cover the hole and I've never been happy with the look. This access panel makes it look like I did it intentionally as a means to access the plumbing if ever needed, not an after the fact job like it looked before.
