Mortgages 101: Quick Answers to Over 250 Critical Questions About Your Home Loan I found this book informative and with answers to my questions that banks/mortgagors wouldn't/couldn't give me. It's written as easy to understand, not over my head. Yes I would recommend it. As a first time home buyer, I just didn't understand all the complex matters involved in a house purchase and the financing involved. There are so many steps involved that aren't outlined and this book will take you through all of them. I feel its a good starting point. ... show more

  • The best book for 1st time home buyers
This book was invaluable as I prepared to purchase my first home. The book is written in question and answer format, so it is easy to focus on the topics that are most relevant. With the knowledge in this book behind me, I felt that I could talk to a mortgage broker with some knowledge and wasn't confused by all ther terms. I landed a great mortgage, thanks to this book. ... show more

  • Excellent crash course in mortgages.
A must for every first time home buyer. After reading this book you will be able to carry on an intelligent conversation with your Realtor and lender about how you'll pay for your house. Even if you crack the cover with no previous knowledge about mortgages this book will help you to understand what options you have available to you. A home is too big of an investment to not understand what you are getting yourself into. Know your options. Read it twice just to be safe! ... show more

  • Good questions
Book is dated. I think my copy was used. It was a 5 out of 10 - ok. You could probably find another. There’s a book out for 4-5 years now, 107 questions… I thought was very good. Can’t remember the author. I’d recommend that one.
