The fan cover on the bottom of the snakes motor was pushed up into the motor causing 2 of the 3 cast attachment points to break off. The machine seems to work fine with the cover removed. Purchased 400 with 66ft spool. Likes: the large cable is advertised and does work great getting out blockages. The power is there but it doesn't grip as well when engaging the lever. Dislikes. Bad legs... cheaper tips... you can get rigid tips and those will work better. Small drain spool is cheap... didn't even use . I have other augers for that work. Overall Not bad for the price and way easier to carry. If you use more than 2-3 times... definitely pays for itself. ... show more

When I moved into my house my dad and I were inspecting the plumbing to remodel the kitchen. We found the main pipe and he pulled it completely off the wall at the joints. He's pretty rough on things but not even this was his fault. So now we have to jack the floor up to replace the main kitchen drain. In the meantime we rerouted the plumbing to the main floor drain. I know what you're thinking and yes it does get clogged because it's not suppose to handle that. But it didn't pose a seriously problem until recently and all the plumbers we called just complained at me how it wasn't to code and that they could not do anything about it. My first drain auger I tried was not this one and it was a complete bear to use. I am not a weakling but even I was wrung out after main handling it and trying to not have my fingers ripped off by the rotating cable and drum. But it did work. It later rusted out completely and seized up because of the extremely low quality cable and designed so that leads me to the Mophorn unit. This is a complete knockoff of the Rigid K50 which is excellent because that is a great unit. I'm sure it is far far superior in build quality but the Mophorn unit was the average chinese fit and finish and function. Fast and lazy with low attention to detail but with a price tag to match!!! The function is far superior the drum unit. The cable was much better and easier to clean. It took 1/4 the time and 1/4 the effort clear my floor drain. Making the sharp bends was far easier with this unit. I'm sure if you're a pro plumber you can complain on this unit all you want for not lasting but as a home gamer trying to save some money you really can't go wrong. I also don't see this unit not lasting even under pro conditions. You do need to get the Rigid Drain Cleaning Mitt to be safe with the unit but they are not expensive. You could easily charge your friends $50 to clear drains and pay for the unit quickly if you wanted to. ... show more

(Wife’s Amazon account) Plumber in NJ, bought the little yellow one, machine is solid, cables that come with it.. not so much. I don’t know if they missed hitting a tack weld on the button heads, or if they just didn’t do it.. but I put these cables in for a second and lost the head, tried the pig tail to get it back and lost that too. After looking at it, the button heads screw into the cables and spun the same way in forward, but when they grab something it spins out! I wound up jetting the drain from the roof and blasted them out to the main to save my ass. Followed this up with buying a few lengths of ridgid 5/8’s c8 cables and haven’t had a problem. ... show more

It arrived today. There were no instructions or manual. assembled it complete. Tested, but it does not work as it should. Regardless of motor switch position, it spins in the same direction and at the same speed. When feed lever is engaged, only metal shavings come out. No feed. The larger spool cage weldment is already broken. There is no way it can be used. This is the worst piece of equipment I have seen ever. Its garbage. ... show more

This saved us thousands!! We didn’t need to call a plumber. We had a clog for over a week. Couldn’t use the kitchen sink. We tried everything! I was about to call the plumber when my husband said to let him try this. He tried this twice. He went through a roof vent and 65 ft and found the clog!! It worked ! We have a partially collapsed main drain that clogs up every day. Until I get it fixed, we have to run this essentially every day. We have been doing that for months now, and the only thing that seems to have stopped working is the self feeding. I just manually feed it and it goes through just fine. Smooth as can be.
