Disclaimer: Oracle cards and tarot cards should be studied before use. If you are looking to get into Oracle or tarot cards make sure you completely understand what you are doing before getting into it. Otherwise you can confuse yourself. With that being said, the deck itself comes with an easy read book, also the cards have prints of constellations on each card so being familiar with astrology is great if you choose this deck of oracle cards. As I said before, very stunning. Try to find some kind of mentor who is knowledgeable or read books on tarot and astrology before attempting to read for yourself.     • Gorgeous Deck Would Recommend and if Ever I Needed Would Buy it Again!
To begin, this is my third Oracle deck; I was so drawn to this deck. I know many people talk about how each deck makes him/her feel, but it's so true. Right, when I picked up the deck, there was an immediate connection. I love the idea of the moon phases and the astrology and horoscope aspect added into it as horoscopes are something that has always interested me. It says you technically don't need a background in the moon phases, horoscopes, or astrology in general. However, I've learned with this deck that you perform better readings with that background information. I feel it is necessary when using this deck. Quality of the deck and cards: This is the main reason I gave it four stars the deck is beautiful. The art is gorgeous, and that's where my connection the deck came from is the gorgeous watercolor illustrations on each card. However, it has a drawback it is matte even though the card stock is beautiful mine came a little bent, and they are easy to dent around the corners of the card accidentally. It's a deck I feel that the more you use it, the more used the cards will become, and you might have to reorder them in the future if you use the deck often. However, other than that it was my only complaint about the cards and the quality of them otherwise if you're into horoscopes and moon phases this is the deck for you. You'll feel at home with it and with me I think my readings are stronger because I bond so quickly with this deck. Hopefully, this part of the review was somewhat helpful. Don't let the cardstock be the reason you don't purchase this if you have to reorder because of the card stock do so, but the deck itself is worth the price for what you get. The feeling of matte I prefer more than another Oracle deck I recently bought which is that shiny cardstock that isn't as thick, and it feels cheap. These cards feel like they have value. Guidebook: This is probably the main concern I had I know the guidebooks are to help those who have trouble interpreting the message of the cards on there own. But, looking at the guidebook from a beginners point of view it could be better. I feel there is so much they could have elaborated on and explained more of each card. However, they bypassed the chance and instead just gave short quick ideas that in my eyes don't help. Honestly, though I'm just super opinionated and picky when it comes to things with my decks I normally don't read the books I wanted background information on the moon phases and the astrology aspect to better my readings. It does provide a chart and a small description of each moon phase, and its importance which was super helpful as I didn't have to perform too much research just needed a little extra to better my understanding in the moon phases. However, the chart is nice to have; they also have a section with starter spreads to try out which is helpful for the beginner. Like I said though the book could have elaborated more on each card for the beginners but for someone who doesn't need a play by play the guidebook is an excellent refresher if needed. Overall, I do love this deck, and I don't mind the guidebook as it gave me the information I at least needed to perform the readings that I needed too. I've read more detailed ones, but you have to look at it from the standpoint of its $18 for a book and the actual cards you're not going to get a bestseller guide. If you want a better guide, there are so many that you can get or even look online at blogs that specialize in Oracle and Tarot cards and readings from people with experience. However, again it's nice to have for a refresher. The deck is gorgeous and feels like it has value for the price other than the small issue of being easily dented, etc. However, with care this deck with last you just make sure you keep putting it in the box after each use so they can be protected. I love this deck and if needed to would rebuy it in the future. I hope this review was helpful for those who are looking into purchasing it. Purchasing and connecting to an Oracle and Tarot deck is such an exciting moment for the individual using the deck. This is great for beginners if you do background research otherwise I'd mainly recommend this deck for those who are used to Oracle and Tarot reading. ... show more
