Main goal was to limit cold coming through as winter rolls in - I don't mind the sun since this is in the dining room. The shade 100% blocks light (minus the small slivers that creep through the edges) and seems to do well in blocking any cold that comes through - so I'm sure it will do the same with heat in the warmer months. Is as pictured/described - measurements were accurate...I was super nervous on this since I have a 1900 house where nothing seems to be straight and easy to fit. Installation was very easy (I did the inner winder install) - I was able to accomplish with just myself and my drill (and my 4 yr old smh) in less than 10 minutes. Biggest confusion for me was figuring out which what the clips go to hold the curtain...I got it wrong the first time, so pay close attention to the picture! Shade rolls nice and easy - I didn't like the plastic clip/handle (I feel like it looks cheap, although I do like how it's clear so it's hidden) so I didn't install that. Only real complaint is that it is NOT exactly centered on the roll - so there is twice the amount of space between the shade and the window on the right side as there is on the left. Not a massively bit deal (and I confirmed it is on the shade, not my ancient window by rolling it all the way out) but it is annoying for an OCD person such as myself. Would 100% order again though! ... show more

Purchased the grey colored 22" x 48" Moonice Cordless Roller Shade for a bathroom window with an inside mount. All tools were included (minus the drill) for the inside mount installation. The actual shade itself comes with a label telling you which side is left, so leave that on until you're about to attach it to your wall. This cordless roller worked well to block out light and to provide privacy. Upon first pulling down the shade, it will sound as if it's stuck to itself. This is normal because it likely came directly from factory. Upon subsequent pulling the shade down, it no longer makes any noises. The bottom of the shade curves a bit for us, and doesn't sit flush with the window, so we probably need to use some weights to flatten it out. Otherwise, this worked as a blackout/privacy shade. ... show more

If you are doing this on an inside mount where you can directly screw in the clip brackets, that is your best option. You can mount it outside like I did because they didn’t have the size I needed, but it isn’t perfect. First of all, the hardware that comes with it is missing the two nuts you need to connect the clip brackets to the L-brackets to mount outside of window. I had to find my own. The clip brackets themselves seem to hold the shade fine but it is difficult getting the unit off because they don’t push far enough back to unclip it completely. The shade material has a vinyl feel to it and is a little shiney. It definitely blocks out light completely. However, when mounting outside, there is a small gap near the top and I wish the bottom pull bar was heavier to keep the shade from swaying with my fan. It tucks away nicely and has a minimalistic look when rolled up. Pulls down and stays down fine but seems a little hesitant to roll back up. ... show more
