I bought this more for my brother than I did myself, I tried it on though and I'm ordinarily a Large in most sized and this was tighter on me than expected. I would say that if you like loose sweatshirts as I tend to prefer (just because that's what I grew up with and what find comfortable) then go up a size, it's more of a slim fit in my mind. If I was keeping it for myself I would have returned it to get an XL, luckily my brother is slightly smaller than me. It fit him real well, it's nice because most sweatshirts are real thick, heavy material...this one is thinner material and it's a good thickness. Not meant for negative temperatures, no not at all, might not be the best wind breaker but it is definitely a good thickness as an everyday cold northern sweatshirt which was a pleasant surprise. I quite like it and my brother does too. Very nice, just be aware the slimmer fit styling and order based off of that otherwise it might be too tight for you depending on comfort. I bought this because I wanted a hoodie that offered be a little more protection for my face than my standard jacket. The materials a little bit thin but of decent quality. In Florida is high humidity it's okay till about low 40s then the wind cuts right through it. I got this is a lightning deal so I got my money's worth and it's definitely worth the price and I think it looks cool. Sizing was spot-on, maybe only the slightest bit snug because it's a hoodie and not a jacket but it was very comfortable and well-fitting. If you fit into a certain size jacket tightly you may want to go up a size just at least so you can get in and out of it easier. ... show more

Maybe it was lost in translation, but I have no idea why the word "novelty" is in the name of the product. This is a comfortable light to medium weight fleece hoodie. The hood part is not oversized, and the tailoring makes it a big gnomish if you put it up but it's good for a chuckle from my kids and not how I normally wear it anyway. The pockets are individual on either side and medium to small but that's not a deal-breaker either and not worth removing a star. Again, novelty? I read some bad reviews on this sweatshirt, but I'm so glad they didn't dissuade me! I absolutely love it! Coloring is just like the picture that's shown (I bought the gray, with blue/white on top). I'm a 5'10" tall woman, on the thin side, and not super busty. After reading what others had to say regarding the sizing, I decided to go with the medium. (Normally, I'd wear a men's XS or S - and in women's a medium). I really could have gone with the small here, but I'm still very happy with the medium fit. I suppose for a man, with a broad chest & shoulders, the sizing could be off...but if you're a petite guy, or a gal looking for a cool sweatshirt, I'd suggest staying true to the US size you'd normally wear in men's sweatshirts. The washing instructions are kinda weird, think there were some translation issues there. Overall though, this is a totally awesome sweatshirt - soft, comfy, and unique.
