Legend is dedicated to inspiring, virtuous and self-confident men who are courageous, passionate and authentic. Their fragrance is subtle but striking and masculine. Olivier Pescheux, the perfumer behind this fresh fougere creation, tried to make the fragrance filled with contrasts, combining notes that evoke strength and tenderness, tradition and modernity. The composition opens with fresh aromatic tones of bergamot, lavender, pineapple leaf and exotic verbena (Lit sea Cubeb a). The heart emphasizes oak moss note (evernyl molecule) merged with geranium, coumarone, apple, rose, and Pomarosa molecule (notes of dried fruit). The base contains sandalwood, Tonka and evernyl. Heavy and slightly curved bottle of black and metallic colors is inspired by the famous Meisterstuck pen design, made of glass and metal. The design is minimalistic and luxurious, perfect for the concept behind this fragrance. The black and white campaign features Simon Clark photographed by Peter Lindbergh. Legend is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. This product is manufactured in France. I have purchased Mont Blanc Legend a couple of times in the past. I have been using it for about 3 years. just ran out and purchased this bottle from Amazon. This version is so watered down it has almost no smell at all. It just smells more like alcohol or cleaning fluid than cologne. It's like the completely left out the ingredient that gives it fragrance. I am not sure if this is just a bad batch, or if this is their new watered down version. Maybe the person responsible for putting the smelly ingredient in the bottle was on break when my bottle came down the assembly line, but what I received is nothing like what I have purchased in the past and their certainly seems to be a lack of quality control with this particular product if this is what they are selling. ... show more

I had originally ordered this through amazon and never recieved it but have since acquired it through other avenues. So, I cannot attest as to whether Amazon is selling legitimate or fakes. A lot of people think they recieved a fake due to the scent not lasting very long, but thats what an EDT (toilette) is. As for this EDT, I love the scent for myself and my wife keeps commenting on it like she's never smelled it before. I won't go into what it smells like because I lack the vocabulary to give it justice but I will say that this should be a staple in every man's medicine cabinet. ... show more

Horrible. I ordered the night time version NOT this crap and tried getting this order returned but instead Amazon refunded my money and this still came to me. I love Amazon!! Since it just came I decided to try it anyways since it could not be shipped back. This is a super watered down bottle that after 40 sprays lasted about an hour. The smell is absolutely horrible to me not sure why there are so many high reviews. I wouldn’t necessarily blame it on the distributor but definitely the manufacturer because this smelly bottle seems like it’s just fragranced water. Not good! The price of this $90 cologne probably more than most definitely goes to the good looking man on the box that’s it. ... show more

I found the scent doesn't last that long. For the money you pay it isn't worth it. When woman wear perfume it last all day. Why can't they make men Toilette or Cologne to last longer then a couple of hours. It would be nice if the companies could get together and do something about it. I've purchased this item from Ulta many times. I assumed the price point was the same on Amazon as the store (I didn't to go out to the store). I thought I would be getting the larger bottle at this price. It was half the size of the bottles I've purchased in the store, but at the larger bottle price. For years I have been wearing Burberry for Men Classic. This smells similar to me, but it's a less intense fragrance. The scent stays with you, but it's just very subtle. I feel like it's a good everyday cologne, though it may be expensive to some, considering how small a bottle it is. The sprayer really drenches you too, so I feel like it's not going to last very long. I was in search of a new signature scent for myself, and I think I've found it with Legend. I also purchased their body wash and deodorant, which I recommend. Even using all three products, I don't feel like I'm overpowering, which is actually nice.
