My boys (6 & 3 yo) got these for Christmas and are obsessed! They're super hardy - we've taken them out in the rain, in cold weather, through puddles, up muddy hillsides, and crashed into just about everything including boulders. The wheels are a dense foam so they're showing signs of wear, but the rest of the car still looks great. The cars are somewhat hard to control, but mostly because they're so powerful, so the turning can be a bit "jumpy". Super fast, and my kids think it's hilarious to make the car kick up on only it's back wheels if they start fast from a dead stop. Once I figured out the charger port on the bottom it hasn't been a huge hassle but I definitely have to do it for my kids so they're not 100% independent toys for young kids. Battery life is okay, my kids often run out of battery before they want to be done playing though. ... show more

The torque on this thing means that it often flips itself over upon acceleration. It just means you’ll be picking it up a lot as your 5 year old tries to drive it on its back. Maybe as the battery ages, the torque will taper off? Or if the controller had a bit more range in the action to allow for a smoother acceleration? Maybe add a “beast” mode vs pure power from the get go? It’s fun and seems to be quite durable, but if it’s not driving it’s a rather expensive sandbox truck. ... show more

We got this for our 2yr old grandson for Christmas. He gets a kick out of it standing up and hopping. He hasn't learned all the controls ( he is only 2 ) but this seems to have been a great gift for him. Sturdy and well made. The control seems easy for kids to use and learn.

These trucks are awesome and plenty fast! They're tough too! Bought them for my 4 year old and 7 year old and they love it! They've been through 5+charges and they still last 15-30+ mins of run time. They work great on the snow too!! One of them came with a bad battery or something, contacted the company (spin master?) by email and they sent a replacement! Would and will probably buy again for myself to play with my boys! Highly recommend! ... show more

Charging the RC is simple and closing the usb latch is easy. Truck is strong and responsive. I love how it donuts in dirt, acts more realistic in comparison to the megaladon water rc. Not as fast as megalodon but the wheels are for making tricks. Good battery life and it runs through pretty tall grass. It has a bright, shiny finish and looks cool in the sun. Awesome color scheme. This company makes awesome RC cars. Reminds me of tyco RC as a kid. ... show more
