I'm an Amazon Vine reviewer. Amazon Vine is a marketing program for new products which offers products needing reviews to certain reviewers for free in return for their reviews. That's how I ended up with this Monster high school playset. My interest in dolls is as a grandfather to seven girls under the age of ten. That said, let me give you my take on this doll house beginning with a history of the Monster toy line, turning to the quality of the playset and finally my thoughts on the overall Monster theme. The Monster High line has had ups and downs during its time under Mattel. Begun as a formal Mattel toy line in 2010, Monster High rapidly grew into a billion dollar business. But by 2016, with a move youngward in Mattel's marketing and designs for Monster High, sales tanked, and in 2018 the line was canceled only to be reintroduced in 2020. Four years on from Mattel's reintroduction of the Monster High theme with new TV shows and associated publicity the line seems to be reclaiming some of its past popularity. As to the playset itself, it's a pretty normal $150 doll house in terms of features and quality. When I saw the listing on Amazon I though it was cute--kind of a Halloweenish conceit of a doll house. It's big. It's well-built. The design is fun. The secret passageways, slide and trap door add a touch of playful mystery that fits the Monster theme. But finally, I won't be giving this playset to my granddaughters because, now that I have the playset and I've looked into the dolls that go with it more, together with the overall emphases of the TV shows and associated merchandising, I find the sexualization of its characters and emphasis on goth-type darkness troubling. I want my granddaughters to enjoy being little girls, not to aspire toward a goth lifestyle. As a playset by itself, it's five stars. As a themed universe, I give it two. My star rating up top reflects the toy build quality, not my view of the whole. ... show more

This monster high doll house is as pictured and described. This comes in a huge box that is labeled well with images etc. I got this doll house for my 7 year old daughter as she loves doll houses and watches monster high. The dollhouse is very well made and a lot bigger than I was expecting. It is fairly easy to assebmble and has good instructions. My daughter is obsessed with this and I don’t blame her it is a very cool dollhouse. The price I find worth it and think that it is appropriate for what you’re getting. ... show more

Easy and quick to put together. Instructions were pretty straightforward and most parts were labeled, even some that weren't were easy to figure out. It's mainly a few large pieces that pop into place. This is a large doll house with a lot of fun little trap doors hidden throughout. Only disappointing thing was that it did not come with a figure. The media could not be loaded. Lots of money for stairs that don’t actually for together. Bought this early for my daughter’s bday so by the time we realized how cheaply it was made, return window had closed. But it from the store so you don’t get stuck like us!

this doll house is the perfect addition for Monster High fans, the playset is enormous and have different areas with nicely done details and decorations. of course everything is made of plastic so treat it carefully. it sadly doesn't come with any doll, but those are easy to come by, and since it's a halloween themed haunted house, it's perfect for this season. plenty of fun to have with it, and spooky stories to tell. item arrived well packaged, just in time. the doll house looks exactly as pictured and girls will love it. ... show more
