    • These are an absolute steal at under $500
Using these with a 30wpc Cambridge amp as a secondary listening system. Placed on bookshelves about 14" from wall. Not the best placement but they sound great and I don't feel the need to add a sub. Very detailed and fun speakers. When placed in my listening room at about 30" from walls on stands with 100wpc they were incredible and we really enjoyed them. Very good all round speakers. Strong bass. I don't like floor standers in my living room and I don't care for subwoofers so I needed bookshelves with a decent amount of bass. The Bronze 100s are way more than I expected. Imaging is excellent. Voices have a natural tone. The tweeter is not bright at all. That was a surprise. But these are not laid back speakers. Think of the sound as somewhere between Klipsch and Elac. I have these connected to an entry level Yamaha AV receiver and I am very satisfied so they are really easy to drive. For TV, dialog is not as clear as the Klipsch RP600M but tone is quite a bit better on the MAs. Think warmer. I compared to Elac Debut Reference and... sorry all, but Elacs just don't do it for me. They sounded flat and lifeless in my room. Although, to be fair, I am thinking I need an amp with much more current to make them sing. I then compared to Martin Logan Motion 15i. Like the Elacs, these did not work in my room. I can say that they image better than the MAs. In terms of build quality let's just say you get what you pay for. In fact it feels cheaper than its asking price, even when it goes on sale. The design, though, is excellent. Love the grey finish I got. Overall, in terms of sound quality, this is an excellent buy for the money. I believe you'll need to step up to B&W 705s to get much better sound. I did not include Kefs here as their sound isn't for me. I'm keeping these. ... show more

Incredible sound and bass. $450 for a pair in an absolute bargain. From what I've ready from reviews at $1,450 Monitor Audio Silver 100 sounds marginally better--in fact most people won't be able to hear the difference. Glad I decided to get a pair of Bronze.
