I am very disappointed. I ordered the Home Sweet Home yellow bamboo cutting board with the stenciled wording on the board and the cooking utensils. I got a plain black cutting board with 3 black utensils. Defeats the whole purpose. With that being said the cutting board is made of high quality wood and quite heavy. A little smaller than I thought but still adequate. I gave it 3 stars because it was not what I ordered but it is still a quality product. ... show more

This cutting board and utensil set has heartfelt writings on it for a wonderful mom. It is easy to read, the letters are clear and not run together. I wouldn't try and cut on it because it really is more of a decoration than anything. I can't wait to give it to my mom! She will love it!

This wooden cutting board and three utensil set is perfectly lovely, and a darling gift for any special woman who's a mom! While each piece is food safe and able to be used practically in the kitchen, I recommend that they (at least the cutting board) be used for decoration, due to the fact that wood collects germs that are hard to remove, and that they are too pretty and special to be used. The bamboo wood is of good quality, but it really isn't built to last. It isn't finished enough, and isn't protected by any coating. Make sure to always hand wash these, as soaking them or washing them in the dishwasher eats at the wood and makes it crack when dried. Thank you for reading my review! I must say I did not expect this to look that good in person :). My Mom was very happy. Writing is precise, there is definitely some weight to the cutting board. Edges are smooth, handles of the cooking utensils are smooth too. Don't saturate any of it in water for longer periods of time as it might weakens the fiber and it won't perform as good as it should. ... show more
