This laundry detergent is free of all the terrible chemicals that my wife and I do not want our family exposed to. It cleans well and is easy on the skin. A good size which saves space in the laundry room. The smell is great and it a little go a long way, which makes it easy to use because you don’t have to use as much of it as other brands. It really means a lot to me to use a laundry detergent which is safe from chemicals and other things, which might raise a red flag from a caution standpoint. Considering that clothing, sheets, towels, etc. are in such close contact with our bodies for all hours of the day, I want to be as safe as possible. I had been using Myers and Seventh Generation, which are a bit more expensive than the Tide detergents ... but after doing several hours of research on different sources which test and explain ingredients, I was surprised to find out that even the 'so called green' detergents used ingredients with possible scary effects. Molly's detergent was ranked the highest from a safety standpoint compared to the others, on several different sources, so I decided to give it a try. The elephant in the room is that other, than The Laundress, it was the most expensive brand I saw. I bought the biggest jug, which gave a little savings, but it still costs 3 - 4x what the average laundry detergent costs. One thing I am really frustrated about is that the measuring system is very difficult. As this is ultra-concentrated, a little goes a long way and for really dirty laundry, the recommended amount is somewhere between the cap being 1/4 to 1/2 of the way full. The markings get totally lost in the cap's design and it is almost impossible to figure out exactly what level to pour in the cap. At this price, there should be markings which stand out on the cap because wasting any of this precious liquid can get expensive. Things I really like about this: - The scent is so fresh smelling and understated. You'll know its there ... but it isn't overwhelming..i wear expensive cologne and I am glad this scent doesn't overpower the cologne scent. The Myers Lavender detergent I used to use which had a weird sort of 'sour' note to it. It bothered me throughout the day and eventually my closet started smelling that way. While Molly's does have a sweet sort of scent, it is fresh and clean, although I would never guess 'ocean mist' was the scent ... it smells more like fabric softener. - It seems to get my clothes a little cleaner than other detergents I've tried, such as Myers or Seventh Generation. I notice my towels are less stained and my whites don't look as grimy. Of course, this won't ever compete with a detergent like Tide ... but the health benefits of not having all the chemicals outweigh the performance for me. As long as the clothes don't smell out of the washer. I feel more comfortable with Molly's detergent's high ratings when it comes to safety ... and trust me, I've done a lot of research on that. The high expense of this is worth it to me ... while not a great value, it works well and isn't loaded with chemicals. I hope they redesign the cap to make it easier to read ... but beyond that, I'll stick with this. I hope my honest review after buying and using this product were helpful to you. ... show more

I haven’t got to use it yet, so if I don’t like the outcome, I’ll update. The smell is so fresh and clean. I can’t wait to try it! My only complaint is that it had leaked, so I had to clean it off. But I am very excited to try a more natural brand of detergent!

It was my first time to try this brand as I was looking for a natural, harmless detergent. It does not have any scent, maybe a tiny bit clean scent, but I would still say scentless. It did clean very well and I could tell that there was no residue on the clothes as you would feel after regular detergent, I also bought the lavender dryer sheets of the same brand. I thought those would be overpowering due to really strong smell however, after taking the clothes out of the dryer, it just has a light lavender scent which was really good. Happy with the product and I will continue to use this brand. ... show more

Love product I used from Molly Suds so far. If the product is as clean as it claims with no harmful substance used, I will say it's the best detergent I used so far. Detergent is effective, smells nice! I find myself just supporting the brand. I switched to using the original powder suds which is fragrance free and gets my clothes clean! it's fine. it cleans fine. no fragrance. but it was shipped wrapped in plastic and both the outside and inside was coated in soap. once i washed it, using it was not clean or easy. the bottle and cap didn't work well like reseating the lid would squirt soap out and i'd be washing to bottle again. i had to put a bunch into another bottle. it's way more liquid than the normal concentrated soap i use and the cap is double the size. ... show more

My skin is incredibly sensitive. A drop of perfume could land on me and I break out. I was tired of using scentless detergent so I took a chance on Molly’s Suds. Us sensitive skinned ppl deserve to smell good too! It’s been about a week after using this detergent and I have remained break out free! The Ocean Mist scent smells very clean and fresh. Which is what I was going for! My one “con” is: I did notice with the detergent alone, the smell is very faint on my clothes. I was hoping to have a more noticeable scent. I plan on purchasing additional items by Molly’s Suds to see if I can eliminate my “con.” I wasn’t expecting the bottle to be as small as it was but I have no problem looking for a larger one or buying another! (My item did have a cracked lid on arrival which was disappointing since I lost some of it’s contents) ... show more
