I am very picky when it comes to ingredients in my laundry detergent and this brand checks all of the boxes for quality, scent and ingredients. My clothes smell great and since the liquid is so concentrated, I don’t have to use much at all when I’m washing clothes. This means that it lasts a long time and is a great value for my family. My husband also loves the smell and we are very happy with the performance of the detergent and ability to get stains out! I’ve always been the mom that uses Tide with Oxi detergent. When I found out it had so many toxic chemicals in it, I decided to try Mollys because it ranked as one of the best overall toxic free detergents. I tried it on a load of sheets, a load of whites and a load of darks, and Im very happy with it! I chose the ocean mist fragrance and I’m glad I did. When you smell it from the bottle it smells like a nice aromatherapy, and then on the clothes it’s a nice, light scent that isn’t overpowering but at the same time you can still smell it on the clothes fresh out the drier. A little bit of it really does go a long way and it actually pairs very well with Snuggles fabric softener. The scent of Mollys actually overpowers the fabric softener so thats the scent you get when you take it out of the drier. All my loads have come out clean too. It really means a lot to me to use a laundry detergent which is safe from chemicals and other things, which might raise a red flag from a caution standpoint. Considering that clothing, sheets, towels, etc. are in such close contact with our bodies for all hours of the day, I want to be as safe as possible. I had been using Myers and Seventh Generation, which are a bit more expensive than the Tide detergents ... but after doing several hours of research on different sources which test and explain ingredients, I was surprised to find out that even the 'so called green' detergents used ingredients with possible scary effects. Molly's detergent was ranked the highest from a safety standpoint compared to the others, on several different sources, so I decided to give it a try. The elephant in the room is that other, than The Laundress, it was the most expensive brand I saw. I bought the biggest jug, which gave a little savings, but it still costs 3 - 4x what the average laundry detergent costs. One thing I am really frustrated about is that the measuring system is very difficult. As this is ultra-concentrated, a little goes a long way and for really dirty laundry, the recommended amount is somewhere between the cap being 1/4 to 1/2 of the way full. The markings get totally lost in the cap's design and it is almost impossible to figure out exactly what level to pour in the cap. At this price, there should be markings which stand out on the cap because wasting any of this precious liquid can get expensive. Things I really like about this: - The scent is so fresh smelling and understated. You'll know its there ... but it isn't overwhelming..i wear expensive cologne and I am glad this scent doesn't overpower the cologne scent. The Myers Lavender detergent I used to use which had a weird sort of 'sour' note to it. It bothered me throughout the day and eventually my closet started smelling that way. While Molly's does have a sweet sort of scent, it is fresh and clean, although I would never guess 'ocean mist' was the scent ... it smells more like fabric softener. - It seems to get my clothes a little cleaner than other detergents I've tried, such as Myers or Seventh Generation. I notice my towels are less stained and my whites don't look as grimy. Of course, this won't ever compete with a detergent like Tide ... but the health benefits of not having all the chemicals outweigh the performance for me. As long as the clothes don't smell out of the washer. I feel more comfortable with Molly's detergent's high ratings when it comes to safety ... and trust me, I've done a lot of research on that. The high expense of this is worth it to me ... while not a great value, it works well and isn't loaded with chemicals. I hope they redesign the cap to make it easier to read ... but beyond that, I'll stick with this. I hope my honest review after buying and using this product were helpful to you. ... show more

Best laundry detergent you can trust. Seems to clean out clothes real well and I love the soft scent. We have sensitive skin here and it no irritation at all.

Very pleased with this detergent and it will be a continued purchase in my household. I’ve run the gamut with testing out more natural detergents with my sensitive skin and this one has been pushed to the top of my list. I’ve tried Seventh Generation, 9 Elements, Branch Basics, Trader Joe’s Lavender and Unscented, and a handful more. The scent of this one is really great! I went with Peppermint. Choosing scents online proves difficult but this fit the bill for wanting something to smell clean and fresh without a citrus or lavender takeover. A welcomed changed for sure! In terms of cleansing strength, I’ve had no issues with stains, smells, or getting rid of dirt and grime. ... show more

I have tried many "clean" Ingredients detergents and this blows them all out of the water. Not only is it 100% truly clean (unlike many that are green washed and still have toxic chemicals even though they are labeled to look clean) This has a fresh scent and it is probably the most stain-effective detergent I have ever purchased! And I am very particular about my laundry! A little bit goes a long way! I've tried many of their other products and they are all superior above any other clean products out there! 100% recommend this! ... show more
