I don't use it on the controller itself. The aux that inserts is a little tedious to deal with when trying to plug it in while in the dark and ALL sound comes from the shitty speaker in the back of the keyboard. HOWEVER, it can still be used via bluetooth on the PS itself. You do NOT need to connect it to the controller if it frustrates you like it does me. It's also not that comfortable to hold with the controller. It's still a solid keyboard for typing on it. TIP: for special characters you gotta hold the button that shifts between them. I like the aesthetics of this keyboard. Unfortunately it’s overshadowed by its non functionality. It doesn’t work when I need it to. It always wants to disconnect from my system after 30 seconds of inactivity. The rate it does reconnect is atrocious (40% of the time). This product us a loose fit to the bottom of a PS5 Controller and will not stay connected if you, for example, threw your controller across the room. It does feel nice and responsive though. This device is recognized as a generic bluetooth keyboard, which means it can connect to any device that accepts bluetooth keyboards, say for example a computer. This lets me play all of my games on controller, and when I need a weird input (or don't have enough buttons for all of the things I need to do in the game) I can instantly press the key it normally would work on for PC and get by that limitation. I thought is was a cool idea to have a chat pad which makes it easier to type sentences. 2 things I do not like so far is 1. Since it works by Bluetooth, as soon as you connect chat pad to controller, all sound coming from TV is muted and Audio comes out of controller and then I have to go into settings and change sound to go back to TV again continuously every time I connect the device. Thats an inconvience since I just want the normal sound to come out of tv and regular sounds from the controller to come from the controller. 2. It is not snuggly connected to the PS5 controller. It is loose and I constantly have to push it in snug. Both things I mentioned do not make item unusuable, but just more of inconviences I feel if the items didn't do those 2 things, it would make it a 5 star item.
