It does what it claims, it will fit the average holders out there. It almost looks like it is painted the chrome color it is (but it isn't painted). It is super shiny, but for under 2 bucks, your toilet paper will be properly supported, stay on the holder, and that is why you are buying it. I appreciate that Moen offers a cheap solution, I really do. For many, just anything that works, works. I got it as a stand-in for someone until they could hunt down a match for their more uniquely-colored holder. But if looks matter to you, and your holder is not shiny chrome, (it will stand out against real chrome), then get a real metal one. Otherwise, get it and be glad it is not ten bucks or more. Who knew you could buy one of these? The rest of my holder were in mint condition after 20 years, but the roller left a lot to be desired. I saw this on Amazon when looking for bathroom accessories, and I'm sure glad I saw it. It fits perfectly with my Moen fixture, and sometimes its the little things that make a room better, or at least get rid of things that detract from a good, clean look. The good, it seems pretty well built for the price It doesn't pop apart like some do, when it's uncompressed The less than GREAT, it should have said plastic with a chrome finish, not advertised as made of Zinc Metal. For me, this was the perfect replacement TP spindle, and the price is Enjgreat compared to everything else on here. Make sure when you're buying that you check that both the length of the spindle and the ends are correct for the TP holder you have. They are not all the same. Five minutes with a tape measure and my broken spindle were all I needed to be sure that this one would work for me. Oh also be aware that the spindle is PLASTIC. Stainless steel or chrome, whatever they're calling it, is the color not the material, although the price probably gave that away. Enjoy! ... show more
