  • Just Nice In Every Way!
Color: Spot Resist Stainless Style: Standard
Our kitchen faucet has been a piece of junk for years. No water flow, usually leaked when turned off, developed a leak at the base, at the bottom of the swivel. So, we shopped hard. I brought the wife back here and we shopped together. She wanted a pull down faucet because our daughter has one. I definitely didn't want a Price-Pfister this time. It was about as easy to install as it could have been. Getting the old faucet out was actually harder. The one snag was our fault. Our (under sink) water filter's kind of a piece of junk, too. It has one of those retarded saddle clamps. You install that over the water line and the first time you turn it off, it punches a hole in your water line. It never did leak, but I had to go to the hardware store and play musical fittings. I had to come up with a T fitting with male on one end, female on the other end and a different size on the third leg. I ended up needing two fittings and a short piece of copper tubing and one extra nut and compression fitting. Had it not been for that, this would have been a breeze! The fittings on the hot and cold supply lines(on this faucet) don't use compression sleeves; they use rubber grommets. MUCH better!! The pull down hose connects to another hose coming out the bottom of the faucet. This was so ingenious! It literally snaps together! You just push the two hoses together and it's connected! (There's a spring loaded release mechanism so it can be taken back apart.) It's held down on the center hole by a nut. Moen provided a plastic tool with a different size on each end. You put the right end over the nut and put a screwdriver through the hole at the other end and tighten it firmly. The base plate they give you covers the other sink holes on a three hole sink. You're done! It's massive, impressive, and pretty gorgeous! We chose the stain resistant stainless steel one and it matches our sink perfectly and looks kind of "futuristic". The head has a very free moving swivel. On the head there's a flip button | lever that changes it from stream to spray. It goes back to stream by itself when you turn it off. It also has a button that adds water pressure when you push it. It also returns to less water when you turn the faucet off. The lever must go on the right side, the instructions say. It's installed and assembled and the whole thing with the lever drops into the sink. To use it, you move the lever to the right to turn it on and you rotate it up for hot or down for cold; it moves 90 degrees. The pull down function is real nice. They provide you with a weight that snaps onto the pull down hose, which is under the sink. Ours gets slightly stuck on a dishwasher drain hose. I need to get back under there some day and just move that hose out of the way. If it weren't for that, it would be perfectly smooth and perfect. DO NOT get the soap dispenser you can purchase with it on its page. There's another on made by Kraus that's much better. The nozzle is much longer and solves the problem of soap all over the counter and sink that many reviewers complain about with the shorter nozzle. It held an entire 22.6 ounce bottle of Dawn when we filled it, even though the docs say 17 ounce capacity. It went into the hole in the back right corner of the sink that we had left over from the sprayer that was part of the old faucet. And, though I was worried, it had absolutely no problem fitting next to the sink bowl underneath, which is another problem reviewers complained about. Just couldn't really be more pleased! It's a stiff price, but anything stainless steel is. The old "You get what you pay for" thing. • Beautiful lines, nice water pressure, touchless is handy
Color: Chrome Style: Wave Sensor
Bought this for a rental prop that had a much more expensive, 2yr old Grohe Zedra faucet that failed. Our plumber made several trips over there to troubleshoot the Grohe and finally called to say that he thinks it's an internal defect because the leak is coming from up inside the faucet itself and not at any of the connections. This Moen has similar aesthetic lines to the Grohe and great reviews, so we gave this a try. I have no first hand use of this faucet, so I can only relay the feedback I've gotten from our tenants. - - they love it. I hesitated ordering the hands free version of this, thinking it might be one more thing that can go wrong in a rental. I'm glad I ended up ordering it because our tenants specifically mentioned enjoying that feature. The one general downside to chrome finishes, is that it shows water spots very easily. Our tenant mentioned that there's much less of a need to constantly wipe down the faucet after each use, because using this hands free feature means you aren't touching the faucet with dirty or wet hands when you turn it on and off. They also mentioned that the water pressure is much better and stronger with this faucet, and the spray options make clean up much easier. Since this faucet was literally a swap out with the previous one, it's safe to say that it's the faucet that's responsible for the better water pressure and not the plumbing or overall water system of the house. The only downside to this, is that after hearing them rave about the touchless wave feature of this faucet, I'm feeling like I need to replace the faucet in my own kitchen as well. ... show more

  • I suffered through setting-up and testing this faucet so you don't have to
Color: Spot Resist Stainless Style: Voice Control
PROS: -It looks pretty -Sometimes it dispenses water CONS: -Unable to adjust flow-rate when turning on via motion, app, or voice control -Defaults to turning on at maximum-pressure (no matter position of handle or last state) -Unable to manually change flow-rate without water temperature also changing -Presets in app do not work, specifically with regard to flow-rate -App is extremely buggy and horribly designed (check the ratings) -After changing any setting in the app, faucet will only turn on for a few seconds at a time (only way to resolve is remove device from app and manually reset and reconnect faucet) -The only way to access reset button is to have a 6 month-old child walk under sink cabinet, reach under the control unit, and hold it down for 3 seconds ----------------------------------- I don't know what school the engineers that designed this faucet went to, but the school should take their degree back. Save yourself time, energy and money - do NOT buy this faucet under any circumstances. Besides the app and faucet itself being extremely buggy, the worst part about its design is that the water can only be turned on at maximum-pressure / full-stream. Any decent smart-faucet defaults to either handle-position or last-known state for this function. Even manually, the water-pressure cannot be changed while having a moderately warm temperature. Creating a preset (50% flow-rate) via the app does not work. Alexa integration is terrible and most settings in app do not function properly. After paying a plumber to install this device in a new kitchen, I now have to pay them to remove it and install a new faucet. Is Moen going to cover these costs because of their defective faucet and faulty design / software? MOEN: contact me for any resolutions / solutions. ... show more
