We ordered two of these lights and then 5 minutes later we ordered 2 more. First order arrived on time, but second order was sent to a different vendor and arrived late. First order installed easily, but the second order had a few small differences in the wiring hardware. The wire was not in a sleeve like the wire on the first order and the mounting plate was different. These things were minor and did not bother me. The part that bothered me was the pendant globe was very difficult to get to screw into the pendant base. This is the last thing you have to do when installing these lights. After about an hour of working the the two pieces together, backing out, cleaning the threads and applying lubricant, I was able to get the parts screwed together almost all the way. This was simply a case of poor manufacturing and not really something the vendor could control, but someone should check the fit before they are shipped. When I received the package, I had to exclaim that the raindrop pendant light was just beautiful. It is a little heavy because the bottom of the glass lampshade is solid. But I wasn't worried at all about the shade falling off because the pendant light has a very sturdy hanging wire. It is also worth mentioning that the packaging of the pendant is really very good, it is not the kind of poor quality foam as a filler, so it will not get everywhere with foam particles.... I really like this island light very much!!!!! ... show more
