It's a nice light, looks good in the kitchen and casts a nice even light, with just a bit of circular shadows on the ceiling above it. I'm picky about even light, and this satisfies me. I see complaints about putting it together, but following instructions was simple enough. I didn't use the push in connecter, as my supply wires weren't sticking in, so I took it off and connected them with wire nuts and electrical tape. The colors are different from standard US fixtures, but the instructions tell you which is live and neutral, so that is fine. I was afraid it might be too bright, so I was glad it has a dimmer, but it doesn't need it. If anything, I could stand for it to be slightly brighter. I use the dimmer on the remote from time to time. If you turn it off at the light switch, it will come back on at full brightness, but it does remember the color temperature you left it on. It does take a second after you flip the light switch to come on, which isn't a big deal, but I mention it so it isn't a surprise. ... show more

I love the modern look of the light, but the center light does not light up. Disappointing and it is too difficult to take it down and return it so I guess I have to live with the main light not working.

I was looking at a much more expensive fixture that was similar and after a great deal of searching, settled on this one instead. The light is beautiful, has a lot of features for the price (dimming, night light, warm/cool light, etc.), but the "instructions" leave much to be desired. While there is a one-page diagram on how to assemble the fixture, it didn't have written instructions. That was easier than trying to deal with the wiring, remote box controller, and mounting the whole thing to the ceiling as there were NO instructions at all for any of that. Luckily, my partner is quite handy and we figured it all out. It definitely needs a couple of people to install. We ended up with some extra hardware pieces that we couldn't figure out how/where they were needed. But it's installed, it works, and it's beautiful!! ... show more

This light made huge difference as a replacement for a very old living room light. The installation was challenging, but doable with patience and forethought. Mounting it was a two person job because of the need to hold it overhead and using two stepladders.

The base of the light stopped working on one side and I didn't notice until a couple of days ago. The return period is over so I can't return it. I'm not too mad because it the room is still super bright.
