This chandelier is a show stopper. Once on the ceiling it is plenty bright for my 15' x 15' dining room; the light is diffuse, spread out, and doesn't glare into your eyes. The radio frequency (RF) controller allows you to cycle the lighting from cool white to warm yellowish to in between; it also has a dimmer. I attach the controller with Velcro next to the wall switch so that it doesn't wander away. A few installation and construction notes: 1) If you're a moderately proficient DIYer (Do-It-Yourself) installation is straightforward - you don't even need to consult the one page pictorial instruction sheet. If you're a novice, hire an electrician. He/she will spend more time unwrapping the shrink wrap from each of the arms than on the actual assembly and installation. 2) You will need a 14 mm socket wrench to really tighten the nuts holding the arms to the housing. Attach the grounding strap to one of the arms during assembly. 3) The wiring connector uses flimsy tension-insert clamps (rather than screws) to join the fixture wires to your junction box wires. If you go with that connector, you will need to add stranded wire extension to the stiff solid copper house wiring. Best would be to simply ditch the connector and join the wires directly. Don't worry about which color wires join together -- since the chandelier is LED, just switch the wires if it doesn't turn on. 4) The cross bar that screws onto the junction box and to which the chandelier housing is attached (with 4 screws) is flimsy. The weight of the fixture bends the arms slightly so that if you arrange the various arms in a non-symmetric design the weightier side tilts down slightly so that the arms are not perfectly parallel to the ceiling. Shims will correct that but it would have been nice for the manufacturer to have used a beefier support. 5) The unit is not so heavy that one person can't install it; however, a helper does make installation easier. All of the above tribulations are worth the trouble -- this chandelier looks fabulous. ... show more

The Good: - Attractive and unique: It does look great in our family room (20 ft x 15 ft) and provides plenty of light - Being able to dim and adjust the type of white light is pretty useful in a room where you are doing anything from watching tv to working on a puzzle (unfortunately we weren't able to do this; see not-so-good issue below...) The Not-So-Good: - Controller box/Remote issue: All the lights turn on, but the remote only works on 5 of the 10 lights; or to put it another way, one of the two controller boxes that the lights attach to inside the housing is defective. All products have occasional manufacturing issues, it's just unfortunate there is no way to contact this seller to see if I could get a replacement control box and I will instead have to return the light (would absolutely have kept it if I was able to control the light settings on all the lights) - Installation issue 1: other light fixtures I've installed have had a small hook or loop that you could use to hang the light while doing the wiring; this one does not, so my wife had to hold it in place while I wired it - Installation issue 2: the arms of the light are held in place with nuts and locking washers. While tightening the nuts on two of the arms it pulled the bolt out of the arm (I was not using a lot of torque). The bolts appear to be screwed into plastic and one of the bolts that came out just need to be screwed back into the arm until it was snug, then it worked as expected. The other bolt that came out required me to wrap a bit of teflon tape around it because the threads in the arm appeared to be slightly misshapen and it worked like a charm after doing that Overall I do like the look of this light, it's probably worth giving it a shot if you're comfortable with a small gamble and the minor annoyance of a possible return ... show more

The design is great and fitted our need of directing light to one side relative to the electrical box perfectly. Installation was a pain. No hook to aid while wiring. The wiring connector is questionable. The final attachment of the fixture would be much easier had the round housing had slits where the screws go, so that the screws could be pre-installed and the fixture could be hung on the screws by putting it through the slits and turning it slightly. By far the most disappointing is the fact that the remote which came with the fixture doesn't work at all. The fixture gives plenty of light. However, it hangs right above my couch and when I want to watch TV, I don't want to be flooded with so many lumens. If someone from the manufacturer wants to contact me to fix the remote problem and actually does, I'll upgrade my rating and my review. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful, modern light. It is a focal point in my craft room/home office. The light did not have clear instructions, but it was not super difficult to get it installed. The light "bulbs" came with numbers printed on the them to help get them in the correct spot. It has dimming capability so that you can adjust it for night/day use and even a brighter LED setting that helps me see my crafts better. The remote control was confusing because it has buttons for RBG, but the lights do not have RBG capability. So some of the remote control buttons are not used. I posted a video of how the light changes while using the remote control. I love this light and we get a lot of compliments on it. My hope is that the LED lights last for a few years. ... show more
