  • Yay! LOVE these!
Color: color2
This is a comparison of these dual forms vs the ModelOnes dual forms that come with their polyel starter kit. So, the ModelOnes polygel starter kit comes with dual forms already, but they're more curved (both length-wise and across) than these ones here. These ones work better if you have flatter, less curved nails. I have a mixture of both, so I use some of these on some nails, and some of the dual forms that come with the kit on the rest. You gotta kinda mix-and-match. Another reason I like these ones better (than the ones that come in the kit) is that they have line markers for both straight and curved tips, and by that I mean that if you're planning on doing coffin nails, the forms from the starter kit are fine, but if you want to do round nails, you'll want to use these ones here. Also, the dual forms that come in the starter kit just come in a little plastic bag all jumbled together, instead of in a case. Super annoying. These ones here come in their own case and are separated by size. That's a definite plus. The trick to getting them off easily is to let the nails cool for a few seconds when you take them out of the lamp, then the forms will pop of easily. If you don't wait, you're gonna have to wrestle with them a bit, but waiting makes it MUCH easier to take them off. If you're having trouble with the forms, you can find dozens of tutorials on YouTube that will help you troubleshoot, or just google something like "common polygel mistakes" or "beginner polygel tips". All in all, these are really nice dual forms and they work great, and I don't regret spending the money on them at all. I HIGHLY recommend them! ... show more

  • Best forms I've ever used
Color: color2
They come off easily after curing and they form the polygel to the nail very well. They're not very curved or very flat, and they're flexible so you can mold it to your specific nailbed shape. It's easy to clean up the extra that squeezes out around the forms (I still always do a little too much) and very little filing is needed to perfect the nail once it's set (though getting to that point does take practice, but I've gotten there). I'm never switching my brand of nail forms again because these are so wonderful. They're easy to clean up and reuse again. I'm buying a second box six months later just to have it, but I honestly don't need another box. The first box is still good, and I change my nails weekly, so they've had a lot of use. ... show more

  • Good shape, but the sizes run small
Color: color2
I like that these have a slight curve to them as opposed to other dual forms I’ve tried, which are either poker-straight or much too curved. Mu thumb, index, and middle finger are on the flatter side, and these forms had a bit too strong of a C-curve to fit my nails comfortably. They’re still usable, I just had to go a size up and file the sidewalls down. I have pretty small nails, and my right and left thumb nails were a size 1 and 2, respectively. These forms do appear to run small, which appears to be a common issue with nail forms and press-ons. I found the removal to be quite difficult at times, but I think that depends on the curing time and the length of the gel extensions. Just make sure to cure for 60-90 seconds before trying to remove these if you’re doing longer nails. I had to make my extensions thicker than necessary so that the removal process wouldn’t cause the gel extension to split along the apex. that said, this was my first time doing polygel extensions, so this could absolutely just be due to user error. ... show more

  • Fit
Color: color2
I love these dual forms or as I call them "popums". The variety of sizes in the box makes it easy to find your perfect fit. Also, I've tried other brands that were just too flimsy and seemed to always get gunked up in my gel. These Modelones though are very re-usable. They are very sturdy but not stuff so, I clean them with alcohol and re--use them a few times. They are a great buy ... show more

  • Sizes aren’t adequate for a Full set on most people.
Color: color2
As a professional nail tech, I feel like I need to voice my concerns for other techs I the game. I have been using dual forms for over a decade, so let me just throw that one out there. Yes, they’ve been around for a LONG TIME! I primarily sculpt my clients with paper forms, however. The forms themselves weren’t bad, but I was only able to get ONE nail done (thumb), before I decided that it was a wrap. I used the LARGEST form in the box, and it was STILL too small for my thumb. You can see in the picture that the form isn’t aligned with the sidewalks of my nail. I dont exactly have wide nails, so I’m not exactly going to be able to use these at all for an express set of nails on my clients. I’m leaving this comment to hopefully be constructive for the seller to remedy the issue and provide more sizes in the future, because this wouldn’t be an acceptable salon service to provide, express or not, I want my clients to leave with a durable structure on ALL of their nails. The forms are decent, otherwise. ... show more
