This is my favorite knife in the drawer. It can peel a ripe tomato with ease and slice it paper thin. It is extremely sharp and will cut your skin if it gets in the way. I hand wash it and store it in the cardboard sleeve that came with it. Would definitely buy it again and have recommended it to others. CUTCO knives are guaranteed for life, so if it should become dull or the handle crack, they will replace it for free. So worth the price I paid for his item. ... show more

It's on the pricey side, but this knife is fantastic for, ahem, cutting the cheese. I think I paid around 80 bucks for it but with the amount of entertaining I do along with the usual charcuterie plate displays, this knife is great. Also, it's sharper than you think--which I found out the hard way by opening up a decent cut on my finger a few weeks back. Another great Cutco product. I wish their other knives came with this handle which is much more comfy and secure than their regular handles. I've had Cutco knives for more than 20 years and have never sent one back for repairs or sharpening. After spending hundreds on other German and French knives I'n sticking with Cutco. Haven't tried the fancy Japanese knives which look beautiful and seem very sharp. Don't know how long they would last or remain sharp, which is why I recommend Cutco. ... show more

Cutco- we have been using this brand of knives for decades. We have never had a problem with any. The guarantee is outstanding too. We have sent some of ours back for resharpening after years of use. Cutco (American made in Olean, NY) sharpened them and quickly returned them at no cost as good as new. We like them so much we purchased knives for our two children when they started their own homes.
