I use this knife for cheese, of course, but also fruit, sandwich meats, vegetables, etc. Just a handy good quality knife. I did purchase a sheath from Cutco. However, if you remove the seldom used spatula from your block, this cheese knife fits the spot perfectly

I prefer buying blocks of cheese and cutting and shredding it my self. A local business recommended the knife and i've been so happy. It makes it so easy to cut all kinds of cheese. OK I have to say that out of all the knives I have this is by far my favorite. It is my go to knife and I literally almost exclusively use this one for everything..I gifted this to my daughter for Christmas this year after her using mine when she is home.
