  • It's exactly what I've needed.
Color: Black Size: 20-Inch
I was so excited to receive this Mobo trike. I have a disability that affects my balance and the trike I was riding was no longer safe or feasible for me to ride safely. This Mobo is a dream come true for me. At age 69, I just love this ride. It meets all my needs that were lacking on my old adult trike. It was a no frills straight kids type trike made for adults. No brakes or other safety features. The brakes on this Mobo are a huge plus. The brake is a parking brake as well as a hand brake, and allows me to safely mount and dismount knowing it won't move on me. Also a huge plus is the rear steering that allows my feet to rest comfortably on the pedals. My old trike caused my feet to fall off the pedals at every turn, simply because I'm only 4' 11". I could never reach the pedals comfortably. The Mobo eliminates that issue. It is also easy for me to get on and off. The bar is only 7 inches off the ground, allowing me to easily step over it. This trike eliminates the fear factor of all the things that were keeping me from riding my old trike. It's been more than 2 years since I have ridden it because I could not risk getting hurt from a fall due to the design of a traditional trike. The safety features on this Mobo make it a hundred percent safer and more fun. To be able to get outside and ride again is perfect for mind and body. My husband put this together in less than an hour. It came with colorful laminated instructions and all the tools and hardware needed for assembly. He carefully adjusted the 'camber' on the back wheels so they are aligned correctly, making sure the wheels are in line with each other. He lined it up using a tape measure, assuring both steering rods were equal distance on each side. (They can be adjusted separately) This should eliminate issues with tire wear. Don't take shortcuts. If one looks different, check your adjustments again. The reverse gear works great. This is a slick little device. You just have to slightly pedal in place when engaging reverse. You will feel it lock in. The brake works smoothly and precisely and stops on a dime. One thing to consider is the seat hight is just 12 inches off the ground. Even with my disability it is fairly easy for me to use the steering bars up get up off the seat, but my husband is looking for spacers to try to raise it an inch higher. Though it works great as it sits, an inch higher could make it easier for me to stand. I put the padded cover from my exercise bike on the seat, the extra padding is much appreciated. The steering takes little effort. It can be steered with one hand unless turning. It also 'free wheels', allowing you to cruise and coast. I totally love this feature. This trike has a large turning radius. It will not 'turn on a dime'. I would estimate a circle would use about 10 feet of space, but I have no trouble turning street corners. Just give yourself some space. I doubt it will do a sharp "L" shaped corner. This isn't something I would be concerned about, but it needs to be mentioned. Some of the safety features are: A good solid brake with added parking brake, reflectors on pedals and in the rear, a flag to make spotting you easier, folding pedals for convenience, sturdy fenders, and padded steering bars and back rest, which adjusts to 6 different positions. You are sure to find your comfort zone. This trike will easily adjust to fit my husband, at 6 foot, or me, at 4' 11". I have it on the second hole from the front, it will still go shorter. It's so easy to adjust for almost any hight everyone in the family can have fun on this. That's the beauty of this, it's very family oriented. Getting to the actual riding experience, if you are expecting a speed machine, this is not it. With one forward gear it is for leisurely rides through parks and bike trails. I live in a community setting where we have 3.5 miles of nearly flat black top paved surfaces. There are some small hills, one of those hills is a challenge to not "burn out" the tire. It can lose some traction because the front gets light with your weight over the back wheels. This is something to consider when purchasing. If you live in a hilly area, look elsewhere. This won't cut anything over a gentle slope. Think carefully about where you intend to use it. It is not friendly in loose gravel, sand or on hills. Going down even a slight slope, this baby can sail at a good clip thanks to the free wheel capability. Don't make sudden movements with the steering. It is capable of rolling. By this I mean a side roll if you suddenly turn while rolling at a good clip down hill. No, I have not rolled it, but I did have it on two wheels on my maiden voyage, not knowing how it would handle. So that said, just be careful. The tires lost air very quickly, but that is a minor issue. I will replace them with street tires in the future. I cannot figure out why mountain bike (off road tires) were mounted on a bike that is strictly for the street. Mobo would do well to reconsider the tires they use. I added pedal extenders, because one foot turns outward. Pedal extenders are also thought to eliminate stress on the knees. They make it so that my lazy foot doesn't hit the pedal shaft on each turn. The thread is 9/16. For the price, you can't beat the fun factor. This gives a real good workout for your entire body. I'm getting exercise I have not had the privilege of getting for two years, and having a blast doing it. In summery, it's not a speed machine. You will not be able to keep up with the grandkids on their bikes, but you can sure slow down and smell the flowers. This is totally fun. It will provide you with a fair workout and lots of conversations when your neighbors stop you to ask you about it. It will put a smile on your face. On a personal note, I would have loved having something like this when I was a kid. There is little out there for disabled people in this price range, that's a fact. Trikes for the disabled run into the thousands. Mobo offers some accessories for the disabled. Check their page. This is a kid's dream come true and the perfect route to fun you may be missing out on, either because yor are struggling with a disability, or perhaps you are a senior looking for something new in your life. Have you always wanted ro ride but something is holding you back? This might be the ticket you need to a new experience and a fun summer. Remember, always wear a helmet and stay safe. ... show more

  • Trike
Color: Black Size: 20-Inch
This is wonderful and comfortable. The only con I have against this trike is it says, "three shift", but it only has ONE speed and a reverse. Other than that it's awesome. I'm going to take it to a bike shop and see if they can modify it for me. Thank you and I'm enjoying it. The delivery was great and no missing parts, packing was awesome. ... show more

  • Reliability
Color: Blue Size: 20-Inch
The bike came with "NO" instructions whatsoever. I viewed a video on YouTube before I got the bike. The video was not even close to how the bike was to be assembled. Fortunately, I am mechanically inclined, so I was able to assemble the bike in a reasonable amount of time. MoBo needs to update their assemble video or at least put instructions with the bike. The bike is great and I am anxious for the weather to change so I can get out there and ride. ... show more

  • PNR Mobo shift 3: Excellent
Color: Black Size: 20-Inch
Bought the trike for my wife, it was very easy to assemble (less than one hour) and it had all the tools I needed to put it together. Also had very clear instructions. It is comfortable and fun to ride; if you are aging and having problems with balance this is the trike to buy. It does have a wide turning ratio but if you get in a tight spot you can reverse. Regarding CUSTOMER SERVICE: it has taken me 3 weeks to write the review because I was waiting to see how customer services reacted to a couple of requests. There was a damaged part (Pull knob for length adjustment) but they reacted as soon as I called and sent me a new one in perfect working condition. Had some difficulty getting reverse to work, they walked me through the process and in five minutes I was able to fix it. My wife and all the neighborhood kids love it (me too). Lots of fun to ride! For SAFETY I added a blinking light to the (modified) flag pole. The safety lightis a "must have" if riding on the street. I give the trike 5 STARS and customer service "6". Thank you! ... show more

  • Not what I wanted.
Color: Blue Size: 20-Inch
I bought this bike late last summer. 2nd time out I was coasting down a bike path on uneven asphalt. The bike veered right when hitting a low spot, I turned left to straighten it, veered hard left, then it veered right again, I went off of the trail and flipped it over on its side. Jammed a finger and got a nice softball size raspberry on my right buttock. This bike is made for a level hard surface riding only. It is almost useless in grass or gravel and doesn't go up inclines very well.It is light weight and likes to wobble to and fro. Positive thought is you can get a good work out because you are constantly pedaling. Comfortable to ride. I am looking for a different recumbent trike. I am a senior citizen and this bike is a handful for me. I'd give it a zero, but it does have a couple of positives ... show more
