The deer in our neighborhood eat everything. Deer resistant, deer-proof plants give them no pause, so everything has to be fenced if you hope to see your plant in the morning. But this fine gauge mesh fencing tends to trap snakes and other unintended victims, so I was looking for a bigger mesh and thicker gauge. The mesh, which arrives folded in half and in a roll, is difficult to erect on one's own, but with someone to hold the opposite end, it should be easier. In the end, the mesh seems to be strong, and, so far, is doing the job it needs to do. (I set my mesh 8 inches higher than ground level ao snakes and other small creatures can come and go without getting trapped.) ... show more

I decided to plant a fall garden but the deer and rabbits get me no matter what time of year I plant. I had just tilled and the deer had already smelled the fresh dirt and walked right through it the first night. So I decided to give this mesh fence a try. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a real fence because I am selling my house in a year or so. So this was a perfect alternative. I put up 12 - 6' T-posts that I already had, and zip-tied the fence to them. The fence was 8' tall so I just bunched some at the bottom to confuse the rabbits and other critters I usually fight off, and folded it over on the top. I just clip the zip-ties off when I need to go in, and re-zip when I leave. I have not had a single animal in my garden and I'm getting ready to harvest some lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, and green beans! Best purchase this year! ... show more
