    • Good but not great. Fun to play classics again
There are a ton of games. Here is the thing, I know the games are emulated or copy’s, some of the sounds are off. For instance Zelda on Super Nintendo, the sound effects are different then the original game. Not a deal breaker by any means. Some games have “changed music” that I vaguely remember but something is off? The controls I wish you could edit what each button does. The A, B buttons are inverted from original controllers. All in all it’s great to play all the classics again, I just wish it was executed a little better Edit: as my kids play with the system, I see them really enjoying games of the past. Even though earlier in my review, I said the sounds are off. Yes they are but my kids are none the wiser. So just knowing they are enjoying the games I’m upgrading to 4 stars. Especially when they find a “new” game to them and enjoy it. Edit: 4/17/20 - controller button has fallen in still working but it doesn’t depress like the other buttons. Seemingly controllers aren’t going to last. Need replacement already Edit: 4/5/21 - both controllers have fallen apart and do not work. However I contacted the manufacturer and they graciously sent new replacement controllers. Good customer support. ... show more

    • Didn't Work Right Out Of The Box
I ordered this product totally stoked to play the games I grew up with with my children. The procust and boxes it was shipped in were undamaged. When I tried to connect it to any of my 3 tvs it simply would not work. Also be warned that this does not come with a wall adapter, just the DC out. Not sure if I just got unlucky or if this is a common thing but I was bummed out. I ended up taking a refund. ... show more

The game console seems cheap, but a lot of the games do work. However, some of the games don't work. Lucky enough those are the games we don't really care about. This console is really nostalgic because it brings back memories of the video games I played as a child, horrible graphics and all. Hahaha The worst part of the game is that our kid loves to play Pokemon and the progress can't be saved and picked back up next session. He doesn't seem to mind too much though. ... show more

I bought this for my husbands birthday and he absolutely loves it! When I read the reviews before buying it I was a little skeptical because of the claims some of the games don’t work. Totally not the case. It takes a minute or two for some of the games to load but it works perfectly. The picture quality isn’t the greatest but it’s exactly how you would see a video game from the 80s. MAY be a bad for folks who do not have usb on TV Good Layout of how the games can be selected by Brand THE BAD Instructions not very good.. but it is not hard to hookup HDMI cord on the short side..
