I rely heavily on reviews for sizing, but this one was really off for me. I wear a size 12-14 in most things, but always a 16 in swimsuits, simply because that's how the swimsuit world rolls. Reviews said to size up BIG time, like 2 sizes up. So I did. And I swam in it (figuratively speaking!), so I returned it for a smaller size. STILL big on me. So I returned THAT one for a... any guesses?... a 16! And it fits perfectly. If you're heavy in the middle, prepare for some wiggling and twisting to get the suit on, but once it's on, it's DARLING... and holds you in perfectly. I had my mom try on one before I sent it back, thinking she might like it. She's 5'5, wears a size 16, and carries her weight in her hips and legs. The 18 fit her perfectly... except for the molded cups. They're easily a C cup, and were just too big (even though it looked super cute!). I bought the navy for a simple, classy look. So, this is a good suit for sitting around poolside or the patio, would probably not recommend for vigorous swimming activities. The material is soft and comfortable, there is no underwire in the bust area, there are thin, removable cup pads. I would say you feel covered in the bust area but there is definitely no push up action happening here. The torso feels somewhat slimming, but the fabric is not thick enough to " hold you in" like a shaper. The rouching on the torso does a little bit to conceal but not much. The skirt comes down maybe mid-thigh and the boy short underneath is comfortable. This is especially helpful for those of us that don't need something to conceal down to the knee but are uncomfortable with showing their inner thighs. The straps up by the shoulders are also wide enough and comfortable and are not constantly falling off the shoulder. The sizing is what was tricky for me when it came to ordering. So I'm 5'6 and 245 lbs., a D cup, so when I went to order I picked 18-20 on the drop down menu, which is a US 2XL, but then I got the suit in person and its labeled on the suit 4XL and for a minute I thought they sent the wrong size, but if you look on the description on Amazon, it says US 2XL (aka 4XL) so I was like ok, and sure enough it fits pretty good, like if I would have ordered a smaller size I think it would have been too tight and felt like I was stretching the material too tight, and one size higher it would have been too baggy and loose and I would have been unhappy, so I got it right the first time, yay! So, for the price I would recommend for just casual swimming and hanging out. ... show more

I just loved both of these bathing suits. Bought another one after ordering a size too large (3x) on the first. I am about a size 12/14, which is a 2x. The built in boy shorts give a comfortable and secure feeling. Great for women with chubby upper thighs. Skirt will fall at the knee if 5’4 or below. I really liked this swimming suit. The reason I wssnt anle to give this 5 stars wss because of the cup size. If your larger than a E Cup, you'll have a problem and need to make adjustments. Since I'm a J Cup size, I found wearing a soft black bra underneath the suit help with holding up my breast and kept me looking good in this suit. I received many compliments. I would buy again. This suit is super comfortable and the ruching around the waist is flattering (as can be) for the extra rolls around my waist. I love everything about it except that the bra has little to no support. The shorts underneath are the perfect length but they “ride up” a lot.
