  • Nice sturdy hay bags for my llamas
Color: 3 Black
These hay bags are sewn well and made out of a sturdy material. They have a wide opening at the top, making it fairly easy to slide most compacted flakes of hay into the bag. Quality components and materials were used throughout. The one thing I have not tried is to slide a looser flake of grass hay in these bags yet. The interior of the hay bag is a very slick and smooth material surface. This makes it much easier to slide the flakes of hay into the bag. I'm using these hay bags for my llamas. This will help to keep their hay clean and dry under their shelter during the winter. I feel these hay bags would work best under a shelter or in a barn stall situation because the bags are not designed to keep water or rain away from the hay. I know they will hold up well for my llamas, but I'm not sure the hanging strap would hold up to a goat that likes to chew on things. Overall though, a well-designed hay bag. ... show more

  • EXACTLY what we needed for our herd!
Color: 1 Black+2Grey
Perfect size and terrific product! 3 was also a perfect number. We have Nigerian Dwarf goats and this will suit them for their ruffage intake. Love that you can move them around and out of the rain as well. 100% would purchase again if I needed to.

  • Innovative and tough!
Color: 3 Black
I got these for our very naughty goats who love to pull fodder out just for the sake of pulling it out. It gets wet and it's ruined, it's done. What a waste! We have built a few "slow feeders" over the years and we've had a lot of waste and hassle. These bags have been an excellent solution. We got the black 3 pack, which provides ample feed for our small herd. They haven't been able to hook it with their horns and tear the bags open, which tells me that this is a tough, strong, and durable product. I appreciate that the canvas is that tough, water resistant material, as we live in an area that has perpetual rain for 9 months of the year. This helps keep the hay dry, which is important. These bags keep the hay off of the ground, which helps prevent disease and sickness. Animal health comes down to having good animal husbandry, and I believe that my animals will be healthier by feeding with these bags. I hung ours up, which also helps to keep rodents and other unwanted pests from having access to my goat's feed. My goats also get a lot of fun out of headbutting these bags around, which is entertaining. I highly recommend these. They're easy to load, easy to clean, and they're durable enough to make it through the ambitions of some very naughty goats. These are high quality, and there's a lot of value for the price. ... show more

  • I'm so torn about this product
Color: 3 Black
I got these thinking the goats might like to knosh in their den. They have a metal manger full of hay in the room next door, but our herd queen is getting old and has arthritis, so I put one of these bags near where she sleeps and stuffed it full of hay... and the goats are all terrified of it. I think these bags would be super-handy if you were taking your goats to the county or state fair. Very portable and nice, and well-made. But I'm getting no traction from the goats when they have their big metal manger to visit. Alas. ... show more

  • Great Hay Bags!
Color: 1 Black+2Grey
These hay bags are perfect! I love that there is an option for a multipack- much more convenient than ordering separately. The hay bags work for both my horses and my goat (I just adjust the height that I hang it). The hay bag fits plenty of hay (way more than I had originally thought). The hole that they eat the hay out of is small enough that it reduces hay waste. So far, the hay bags have been durable; however, my animals are pretty gentle on their feeders compared to most. Overall, a great find!! ... show more

  • a little smaller then anticipated but it works
Color: 3 Black
I wish it came in a pack of 4 but THATS OKAY... I got these for my 5 hungry hippos (horses) and so far so good. They pulled it off to the ground a few times, but I like that unlike my round bale nets this doesn't pose the risk of getting stuck around their hooves. We had a bad experience with one of my mares and so the other type of nets make me nervous. ... show more
