This rug is perfect for us - it's buttery soft and beautiful! However, it's VERY thin. I assume that's to make it easier to clean in a washer. If you're hoping to step on it and feel some cushiness, this isn't the right rug for you. We purchased it for our bedroom where our dog prefers to sleep on the hardwood floors and is not a fan of soft materials, so it works perfect for us still without a rug pad or anything underneath. ... show more

Got this to replace a full-size 8x10 rug in my living-room that got worn-out by the dog. Figured this would be lighter and easier to clean, etc. It is, but it's also extremely thin. It is soft to the touch, but no cushion whatsoever and the floor still feels really hard underneath it. The short soft surface is also a bit slippery, so the dog's feet start sliding out from under her whenever she tries to sit in one place. She finally gave up trying and just lays down. The design/color is attractive. I'll give it a try... maybe it will be easier to keep clean. If not, we'll just go back to a real rug but drop back down to a smaller, lighter 5x7 size instead. ... show more
