This hair gel works as described. It has a "strong grip" but also a strong fragrance smell. It holds short hair styles in place and washes out easily. It has a "gel" like consistency and finish, meaning, it is not a matte finish. It does not flake off. It is the quality you would expect from the Mitchell Brand. I'm used to needing to put a lot of gel in my son's hair to keep it in place. However, with this, that's not the case. A little bit goes a looooong way. Don't use too much or you'll have a difficult time getting it out. Works great!

This hair gel does indeed have a strong hold. I like that you can get varying results depending on whether you use it in damp or dry hair. It has a pretty strong fragrance, which can be a pro or a con depending on the person. It's a masculine scent. It does smell pretty good, but it is quite strong. I think I would prefer this without the fragrance. I never understood why hair products are so expensive. If they're using super expensive chemicals, sure, but why do we need to use such expensive things for our heads? Anyways. This stuff is pretty good. It very much so reminds me of the hold power, gloss, and finish of pomade. High hold? i dont' quite think so. After about 4 hours, it's starting to soften. The hair is still all there but after I took one meeting, my whole head is slightly off. For $20 for the bottle, it seems steep but then you don't have to use much of it which is a plus. This hair gel definitely lives up to the name. It offers extremely strong hold ad really keeps your hair in place. My son has very coarse hair and this is the only hair gel I've found that actually works on his hair. It has a nice smell and is a more masculine scent. This hair gel does have a very strong hold and holds the day thru. I have longer hair (5") and it held great on the boat on a fairly breezy day (10mph).
