This good-looking little bookcase provides a place to store books in an unused spot without overcrowding the room. Because of its size and the slight upper recess of the top shelf it is difficult to arrange the shelf so to accommodate larger books. It was necessary to sacrifice room on the upper shelf so that the cookbooks I wanted to store would fit on the bottom so that only small paperbacks or books laid flat can fit there. This small bookcase/narrow table turned out much nicer than I expected. Delivery was prompt. Packing was perhaps slightly excessive but protected all surfaces very well. This appears to me made of solid wood, and the finishes were without defects. Assembly was straightforward - a total of eight bolts needed to be screwed in with the included hex wrench. The product description is unclear about the dimensions. They are approximately 24" in height, 31" in length, and 14" in depth. The middle shelf can move without having to unscrew or disassemble anything, as it rests on small brackets with pegs that you push into preexisting holes in the legs; there are three possible positions for it based on the preexisting drill holes. The legs had whitish plastic bits installed at the bottom, presumably to prevent the scratching of floors. I would have preferred not to have them there and to install felt pads myself instead; perhaps at a later point I will remove the whitish plastic bits. I was a bit unsure about a price of about $155 for this item, but the quality turned out to be quite satisfactory. ... show more

I like the color (labeled espresso, but with a dark red tint) and the solid feel of the wood. Top of the shelf sits 9-1/2" below my bedroom window sill. I have a large spider plant sitting on top and am very pleased with the look. I caught the item on sale for $33. This was an exceptional deal at that price. ... show more

I stumbled across this while looking for small bookshelves and found it to be perfect for my needs. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was about the same height as my bed. Pros: -Nice finish -Stylish design Cons: -Middle shelf stability seems questionable -A little overpriced

Love this! Well made. Solid wood construction and no plywood or MDF boards. Well finished. Excellent value! Using this as a table between to rocker recliners. This is a beautiful piece of furniture. The finish on mine is lovely. Do not hesitate to buy one!
