My daughter has very little experience with kites but could get this in the air with ~6 mph wind. My only complaint is that light shines though the kite, giving it a washed-out appearance that makes it look pink, not red.

I bought this kite because I wanted something pretty, and I live in a town known for butterflies. This kite is terrible - in design, in flying, in everything. It's designed to fly so that it looks like the wings are flapping, which sounds cool, but it didn't fly like that. It was extremely difficult to launch, and once up in the air, it was flimsy, unstable, and difficult to keep to keep it upright. After less than ten minutes, I reeled it in and walked it over to the garbage can. Don't waste your money on this kite. ... show more
