  • I love this~~!!
Color: Blue
This is so cute! Love the color AND that the wheel is raised above the rim of the basin compared to wheels where they are sunken. Great range of speeds that can be completely tailored with the dial. :) Just have to get your own clay! Clays that’s made for a wheel will usually have the instructions on their packaging (so instructions will vary by brand). The wheel does not come with instructions but it’s pretty straight forward if youre familiar with clay… all you really need is the sponge to help shape and wire cutter to remove your project from the base; everything else are extras. ... show more

  • Yofuly Mini Pottery Wheel Machine
Color: Blue
This appears to be a nice little beginner's pottery wheel and tools. I could not try it out because it didn't come with clay or instructions. I will have to research and figure out what kind of clay to buy, and look at some pottery videos or try to find instructions for operating this. I have never done any kind of clay work, let alone use a pottery wheel. ... show more

  • No instructions. No clay included
Color: Blue
I can find info on using pottery wheels all over the internet. But, this should have come with some instructions, even if only to tell you why there is an Allen wrench loose in the bottom of the box (it is to remove the platter from the spindle). The platter is fairly small, but good enough for beginner pottery. I also had a screw in the bottom of the box. I was able to find where it went (one of the screws holding the base to the top) and reinstall it. I would have given it 4 stars if it had some instructions and didn't have a loose screw in the box. ... show more

  • Fun, works well, quick setup
Color: Blue
I got this working in the time it took to read the instructions. It works fine for my smaller at-home projects, up to about 6-inches wide. And i share it with my young niece. Fun!

  • Does not include clay or any type of instructions
Color: Blue
It is usually a common perception that when an item is sold for beginners that there will be some sort of instructions to get started. The wheel does not come with anything in print at all to include a parts list. The box is a plain brown packing box with a sticker affixed to it stating what the item is. With this in mind, if you are just starting out, you will be either relying on others you know or will be revving your search engines for at least the basics of wheel pottery. Practice or starter clay is not supplied. Be sure to order some with it so you don't get the wheel and then have to wait on clay to get started. We purchased air dry clay as a starting point for my wife and I to try our hands at spinning some pottery. We would not have a good way to fire any clays that require a kiln. As we are just trying this to see if we even enjoy it, we did not want to just dive in the deep end. Armed with my search engine knowledge, I set about trying my first item. Adjusting the speed of the wheel is a bit of a trick after you have begun working on the wheel. Your hands will be covered in wet clay. Unless you chance shorting out the power supply by adjusting it with wet gloppy fingers, you will either need someone to adjust or you will need to clean and dry your hands each time you want to adjust. I have read where others have encased the power supply in a plastic bag. I may go this route until I find a better method to allow me to adjust the speed without worrying I will destroy the power supply. The wheel does work rather well. Air dry clay recommends less water than other clays so keeping it wet enough for the wheel to not bog down is going to be a learned skill. The wheel does not have much of an issue from 3/4 to full power with air dry clay however it does struggle on lower speeds due to the friction. It would seem logical that kiln dry clay would probably be easier to work at lower speeds as more water can be used without the clay breaking down. The wheel itself will need to be attached with the supplied "spanner" (A.K.A. Allen wrench). I do like that it is easily removed for cleaning or to place a smaller wheel on the machine. I had never used a pottery wheel before. I was able to make a fairly respectable bowl right from the get go. I tried to go a bit further and managed to end up with a blob of clay. I must admit I had fun and even though my attempt failed. I did not expect to just start whipping out masterpieces in minutes. A nice selection of tools is supplied to help you get started. I only used a few on my initial attempt. I did like that most the tools were made of a sturdy plastic and they cleaned up rather easily. I was impressed how well the wheel held its position on the table I placed it on. The feet held it firmly in place even when the clay became uncentered for a bit. The power connection point includes a rubber insert to keep liquid from tricking down in the receptacle when the cord is disconnected. I am unsure how often I will have liquid in the splash tray to make this useful. It is still a good addition for the "just in case" type scenarios. I gave the wheel 4 stars however it is really more between 3 and 4 stars in my opinion. Reasons for the lower rating include: No instructions of any type are included. The motor, while adequate, could be a bit more powerful. The speed control needs to be able to be adjusted without worry of destroying it with wet clay filled fingers. The wheel could be a solid 4-5 star rating once these items have been addressed. I still feel the machine is a wonderful gateway into spinning pottery on a wheel. My wife and I hope to become proficient enough to be able to pass this skill down to our grandchildren if they so desire. ... show more
