The tube racks have no base. They're completely open, and it’s not mentioned in the product description or visible from the pictures. I haven’t tested them with tubes because I’m not sure what the point is. Microfiche tubes with o-rings and screw caps will fall right through. Waste of money. Don’t know what they’d be good for. Wonderful made; just not what I needed. The dimensions of the rack was perfect but since it only holds micro vials it is too small for my purposes. That’s my fault for not paying better attention. It’s a shame because it is much more affordable than anything else I have found. My search continues….

  • Poor quality, tubes don't fit

I knew this was a cheap 3D printed rack when I bought it, but I didn't expect the quality to be so poor. Due to the edges of the holes being poorly printed and inconsistent, each hole is a slightly different size, and only 3 of the 8 holes on top would actually fit a 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tube. They need to invest in a better 3D printer, better plastic, or just design the holes to be larger to accommodate the inconsistent printing. ... show more
