  • Great little amp!
I had a similar one with BT that kept connecting to random devices so I wanted one that didn't have BT but did the same job. This one really does great! It bangs honestly, the sub has plenty of power and the stereo out sound great! The heat isn't too bad but I'm not pushing it too hard. I use it with my computer for media and gaming. ... show more

  • Fixed my Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 Finally!
***UPDATE May 8th 2023: I recently Purchased a Fosi Audio BT30D Pro to replace this unit. I have to say the Fosi Audio is barely louder than this, which is strange because it should output about 3x the power. The Fosi has a 32v x 5Amp power supply which should be about 160W of power. The mini hifi has a 12v x 5Amp power supply which should be 60W of power. However the one issue I had with the mini Hifi was it did have some noise or static issues when the volume was above 80-85%. The fosi audio is clear as day even with volume on 100%. Otherwise this unit was fantastic and I'm going to give it to my uncle because it still works great. End update*** Original review: I saw the review from W. Wang stating he used this to breath life into his Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 again. I bought it for the exact same reason and it's working great! I had to open the subwoofer and disconnect the cables to the speaker and connect my own speaker cable but that was no problem. Good riddance as the Klipsch speakers never worked properly with the built in amplifier anyways! Now they work perfectly. I do not like the pulsing blue LED for the Bass volume, quite annoying but I'll just cover it with some tape. Also the AUX 3.5MM headphone jack is pretty much just for show. It does "work" in the sense that it produces sound, but the volume knob does not work for the AUX jack. Not a big deal as I had a 3.5mm 2 way splitter so I can connect both my headphones and this AMP to my computer. Although now as I'm typing this I'm realizing the Aux is likely input and not output. However I don't have a Double Male 3.5mm cable so I can't test it out. Some other reviews state that they had static noise, I have 0 static noise. Oh one other issue is the power cable is only about 4 feet. It should be at least 6 feet in my opinion. Overall so far this is an excellent product. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I would highly recommend it. If this changes I'll come back and edit my review. But I'm super happy my Klipsch speakers finally work properly! ... show more

  • Great value for so little cost! See how I made great use of it below!
I bought this to go along with a JENSEN SMPS-628 Under Cabinet Universal Bluetooth Music System (from Amazon). Since the "Music System" was only rated at 5watts output I just disconnected the wires to the cheap tiny internal speakers (but that's all you can expect for something like it at its low price) and wired it directly into this Mini HiFi Stereo 2.1 Channel Audio Amplifier for Home Car Marine Subwoofer Amp. Even though technically it was a high-level output I just turned the volume of the stereo down to 7 which was the best sound quality and it worked great as a low-level input. I also used this with a pair of "Dual Electronics LU43PB 3-Way High-Performance Outdoor Indoor Speakers with Powerful Bass" (also a great price and I reviewed!) found on here (plus an old Walmart Road Sound Bass Tube Speaker I had laying around and man the music for so little money will literally rock any room, let alone a bathroom where I mounted mine. And the Bluetooth input and call receiving is great as now I can just leave my phone in the bedroom while I shower and not in the bathroom's high humidity. The only minor thing I didn't care for was the need to adjust the bass level to match changes in volume (therefore the 4 stars) but it only takes a few seconds and at this price... - (And BTW once you get a great/loud sound system in your bathroom that you can so easily hear every note over the shower noise you will never go back to a cheap little shower stereo!) Yet another great bang for the buck that I did all the research/testing for you... ;) ... show more

  • Punches above its weight.
So, obviously when you buy an amplifier for this little, you don't expect much. But I got so much more. Ok, the case IS a heat sink, and the panels front and back look a little flimsy. Honestly though, that's about it for the bad. I bought it as a computer speaker replacement. I put it on a couple old Bose bookshelf speakers. Clearly the quality of the sound you get will depend on the speakers, and in this case they more than passed the test. Sound is rich, and smooth, and as bright as you would expect for under $50. Now the unexpectedly good. The knobs are really smooth in their control, especially at the low end of their range. It really can do fine fine manipulation of sound volumes at low level, unlike a great many sound devices where "1" is too quiet, and "2" is too loud. This little box's pots are smooth all the way down to nothing. This goes for the bass and treble trim knobs as well. Same with the subwoofer letoff. Another nice part is there is little by way of the usual pop and thump when you turn it on and off, even with the volume relatively high. I would have expected a loud bop when turning off a bargain item like this. The case for the device is small, and the whole thing is really light. There are cutouts for screws or bolts to mount the amp to something. I have it mounted to the underside of my desk under the keyboard. This would make a nice little cheap amp for a car, especially since it uses 12V DC. Probably not so good for wet locations however. And a surprise and somewhat unique bonus: So, there are two inputs to this amp. L/R RCA on the rear and 1/8 phono on the front. No source selector. I assumed that like plugging a headphone into your phone or such, when you plugged a source into the front it would switch over to that as a source. Nope. It mixes them. So, with my computer plugged into the rear and my phone in the front, I was able to have BOTH sources come out of my speakers. No independent volume controls; attenuation has to be at the source. I also suspect that if both sources were cranked you might get some clipping. But for modest volumes from both sources it was nice to be able to relatively mix the inputs. In all a really great unit at its price. Pair it with a thrift shop find of some good bookshelf speakers and it will out perform conventional computer speaker setups by a long shot. ... show more
