In the photo you’ll see a Revlon straightener that is the exact same size as this BXE mini flat iron straightener I got off Amazon. That’s why I rated it at a four star. I wanted something that was a little smaller for TRAVEL size, and this one the plates are actually wider than the Revlon. The quality of the product is great. The digital read out works fine. Heat temperature seem to be variant with whatever you set it on. Cord is definitely tangled free probably better so than the Revlon one. This is also the perfect size for travel because the unit is small and takes up very little storage space, but also big enough to do my hair from start to finish. The mini flat iron is the perfect added hair accessory that I really needed. I have had mini flat irons, but they were way too small and standard in use. This mini flat iron is a bit smaller and lighter than a standard flat iron, but it is not mini in size and performance. It works as well as a standard flat iron. The ceramic plates do not snag or pull my hair and they close together tightly and evenly. The ceramic plates are easy to keep clean, I use hair products and the products do not stick to or gum up on my iron's plates. ... show more

This Mini Flat Iron Ceramic Mini Hair Straightener has clear easy to use controls. The buttons are small and located on the side where you will not accidently turn it off while using. It is comfortable to hold and use. You can select your temperature but it only goes up to 230. This did a really good job on my bangs. I also used it to straighten my longer hair and curl the ends. The “mini” flat iron is not that small; maybe a little smaller than my regular sized ones. I am actually pleasantly surprised because I want a regular flat iron more than a mini one. Please note the temperatures showing on the LCD screen are Celsius, not Fahrenheit. I didn’t know that until i read the instruction. I have long fine hair and I use the flat iron to straighten my hair only. I never tried the curling method. The plates of the flat iron are coated with ceramic glaze. This is a regular sized flat iron that heats up to only 230 degrees F. I am African American with thick hair and it barely straightened it.
