    • Drone will not descend using the thumbstick.
Due to the positioning of the payload dropper, the mini 4 pro's downward sensors detects the dropper mistaking it as the ground. Using the thumbsticks to descend will not work, however using the landing feature will bring the drone slowly in for a landing. I would advise potential customers to keep the battery level in mind while using the payload dropper, as the increased weight brings your drone past the sub 250 gram weight limit that requires licensing as well as using more battery to fly. The quality of the dropper itself is great and light, the gyro will detect the sunlight if exposed to it directly, but I have attached it to the drone and shined a bright light all around it to see if an external light source would activate the dropper prematurely, and I was pleased to see that was not the case. The other great thing about this dropper is the simplicity, unlike other droppers on the market, it uses a light sensor instead of a radio remote that would limit the distance of the dropper. ... show more

    • Not a worthwhile endeavor.
The device lacks a retraction mechanism, rendering it incapable of reversing its extension. While I was able to mount my GoPro camera onto it, my DJI Mini Pro 4 consistently tilted backward, indicating a lack of stability. Furthermore, the string was not attached, which is a safety hazard. Given these issues, I kindly request a refund for this product. I cannot recommend it to others, as its actual value is significantly lower than its purchase price. ... show more

works great I bought 1000 double jump jewelry rings which this kit comes with 3 or 4 and I make lines out of fishing string and use binder clips battery life is great easy to install easy to use just remember to switch it off when not using it I forget all the time another tip is make sure the bottom square piece is all way pushed in In the photo I had an issue where the red square move forward from the bracket and was covering my down sensor I just had to push the red box back down and lock it into the bracket so it only covers the light overall works great depending on what your using I had one load fly off but it was super windy and load was light so depending on how much your load before flight gotta keep an eye on the light make sure before you take off the aux light is off if it's on auto or on soon as you take off it'll kick the light on and drop it so make sure your load is underweight, make sure aux light is set to off and you should be fine make sure you got a decent take off area in case your load makes your drone off balance other than that it's been good to me I notice with an envelope 4 feet below on fishing line my drone tends to think thats the ground and tries to land and sometimes will kick it into landing mode but if it does just cancel it I changed my C buttons to cruise control and aux light so when its windy and i have a load its not all over the place I lost one envelope because it was so windy and then me flying fast was enough to get the ring off and drop the load I believe if I made the string longer or had more weigh on the load it could of prevented it the more windy it is slower I fly I'll go forward slow put cruise control on and tilt gimbal down to watch the load till I get to the area and then go low enough to drop it I would say keep an eye on it in case the load flys off or the light acc triggers it to drop so if the load is valuable and it does drop you can retrieve it ... show more

I’ve had other droppers that failed after one or 2 recharges of the battery. While this one seems to hold up just fine after many recharges. On to the most important issue of the dropping mechanism itself. I lost my first test load out on a sunny day when the sun light tripped the sensor making it drop the payload prematurely. I found a solution around this issue and with the fix in place this thing works awesome. The material I used was spongy yet dense enough to create a proper seal and not let light penetrate through it. One of my waterproof drone cases came with extra foam to accommodate various configurations for my drone. Using this material I cut out a U-shaped barrier to block the sun from the front and sides and just for good measure I cut out another piece to use on the backside completely sealing off the light sensor on all sides. I used strong double sided tape to attach the foam pieces permanently into position. *Here is the other thing you need to be aware of. Go into the drone settings menu from the screen and turn off the obstacle sensing feature and also go into the advanced safety menu and turn off the landing sensor as well. If you don’t turn off these 2 separate settings the drone will not descend when positioning to drop the payload. Instead it will descend at a rate of speed that will run ur battery empty before getting anywhere close to where u want to be when dropping the payload. The last slight change I made was the addition of a c-clip on the thumb screw securing the body brace. Without the c-clip the thumb screw would always come off and I’d have to retrieve it. It gets annoying. I even lost the thumb screw one time and I had to purchase another whole unit. So I made sure I’d never lose the thumb screw again with the addition of the c-clip. ... show more
