At first I was appalled at the idea of paying almost $20 for a tube of mascara that I'll throw out after 3 months but after an initial try, I couldn't go back to Covergirl. My main reason behind trying this brand was how much better the ingredients and manufacturing were compared to mainstream cosmetics. Cruelty free, paraben free, artificial color free, fragrance free, talc free, hypo-allergenic, phthalate free and propylene glycol free. I feel much better applying a product to my face that wasn't first tested on animals. An added bonus to being more health conscious is that my eye lashes look phenomenal and I've gotten numerous compliments since I started using it. With Covergirl, I used to lose eye lashes constantly and it wasn't uncommon to find mascara "leftovers" on my cheeks after I curled my lashes. I do not recommend this mascara. It clumps like crazy no matter how hard I try! You’ll have to get the clumps out and it falls all under the eye. It’s horrible and not worth it. I love their nail polish but this was a no for me. My favorite natural mascara is Eco Bella mascara that will be my forever go to. ... show more

I normally but this product from whole foods and love it. This mascara came with a really strong paint thinner smell. I found it very irritating to my eyes. It is not returnable so I will throw it away and buy it a in person retail store in the future.

I have tried SEVERAL "natural" mascaras and this one is by far the closest to the coverage a traditional mascara lends. Many of the natural mascaras just give your lashes a "wet" look no matter how many coats you apply. When I wear mascara I don't want to look like I just jumped out of a pool-I want my lashes to stand out-and in the world of natural mascaras, this is the best I've found so far. If you're coming straight from a regular mascara, this will take a little adjusting, but if you've been going through natural brand after natural brand, this will likely be a very happy purchase for you🙂. Overview & Application: I've had other Mineral Fusion mascaras in the past. I wonder if this is a reformulation? I'm not sure. In the past, it wasn't clumpy or hard to apply, but I'm having a little trouble applying this tube. It's almost like there's too much product in the tube. Too much mascara comes out on the wand and there's so much product inside the neck of the tube, too, that I can't wipe off the excess. If that makes sense. One tube of MF mascara typically lasts me about 3-6 months. I don't wear makeup everyday. It honestly usually dries out before I can actually use it all. That's fine by me, I'd rather have natural mascara that eventually dries out instead of chemical-laden mascara that is usable years later but is full of who-knows-what preservatives to keep it that way. Safety: I'll keep using it because it's very important to me to use makeup that's not full of harmful chemicals. I love that Mineral Fusion's products are recommended by EWG's Skin Deep Database. MF's products score a 0 on a scale of 0-10 (with 10 being the most hazardous-to-your-health products.) Color: The color of Graphite is black. Okay, so with all the stuff about PFAs and the cosmetic industry lately, I figured it was time to switch to more natural leaning brands. I bought this one and so far, I really like the formula. It doesn't flake and it doesn't smudge. Considering my super "awesome", super oily skin, that's a rarity. Like, the US would probably have invaded my face instead of the Middle East back during the George W days. So, I wasn't expecting that to happen. At all. It doesn't happen with the waterproof mascaras that are currently in the news, so I didn't really know what to expect from anything else. It's so fabulous though!!! 2 coats and I'm good to go! Not fabulous, the wand. But I have super hooded, incredibly deep set almond eyes, so that isn't an issue that is exclusive to this brand or this particular product. It happens with a few kinds of mascara wands. Unfortunately, this wand just gets mascara all over everything while I'm trying to get it on my lashes. I look like a raccoon by the time I'm done. Luckily it scrapes off skin when it's dry, but it's still pretty annoying. I've taken to using my previous mascara wand (a spiky silicone wand I've cleaned and sanitized) and using that instead of the actual one. It works pretty alright and I'm getting the mascara on my lashes instead of my eyelids. Overall, I'll probably buy again, but at this point I don't know if it's because my options are limited, or because I really like the formula. ... show more

When I first got this and put it on I was please. It looks natural and lengthens well. However, by the end of the day it flaked and I had raccoon eyes. I gave it a second go on day 2 making sure to dry my lashes with a cotton round thinking I may have gotten moisturizer on my lashes, but same deal. It’s been about a month and I haven’t been wearing it much being home more, and the formula has become thick and goopy. Not thrilled so I won’t be repurchasing.
