Milwaukee's protective covers are a little pricey, but well worth it to protect your tools. They're very well made, with thick heavy-duty rubber that fits perfectly over every nook and cranny of the tool. I'm a diesel mechanic, and I often set my impact guns down on semi tires, and these covers are absolutely vital to the rare occasions I occasionally knock the tool off a 3.5 ft tire onto a concrete floor. They protect the tools well and are actually easier to clean off than the plastic housing on the bare tool. Definitely recommend these. It fits perfectly around the 2960-series’s head. It’s not going to protect the impact wrench from everything, but I won’t have to worry nearly as much if it suffers an accidental drop. Heat up the boot to make the installation easier.
