  • Great tool
I remember seeing these "as seen on tv" and thought the idea was terrible. Years later now after trying out a friend's I bought one and have used it on many projects and love it. It's very sturdy and as long as you have the right blade works great

  • The tool you never knew you needed, until after you use it!
I've had a couple of harbor freight cheapie corded versions of this tool, & after the switch died on my last harbor freight special, I figured I use this type of tool just barely enough that buying a nicer, higher quality version was worth it! Very happy with the purchase, & highly satisfied with it's performance! My friend caught me using it, & he was always curious about trying one but didn't think he'd use it enough to end up buying one... Until I let him use mine for a while! Needless to say, he bought one too! It's such a cool tool that you'll be looking for any excuse to break it out! The YouTube channel "project farm" has a multi-tool showdown video that compares all of these tools from the various different manufacturers, & the Milwaukee m18 fuel performed the best out of all of them! The "auto" speed function takes a lil getting used to, (the tool senses the pressure of the blade being pressed into something) but it helps keep the tool from screaming real loud inbetween cuts. Definitely the high quality that people expect from a brand name like Milwaukee! ... show more

  • A True Beast
I had a Bosch 18v with the star lock. Loved the quick change on that. Bought this Milwaukee because I had switched over brands and my Bosch I had sold with the rest of my Bosch tools. Enough rambling, I understand now why the Milwaukee uses the locking system it does: PURE POWER! Whether using blades or the sander, this tool is heads above the competition. The sheer cutting force amazing. Having selectable speed is very nice, it helps keep the vibration minimal, not that the vibration is high to begin with. I like the auto mode setting for speed when using on unknown woods. I use an xc 6 battery with it in general, giving it plenty of run time and keeping the weight perfect for long usage periods. It's size is comparable to most other leading brands. If the price seems high, understand that this truly is a professional tool. If you are looking for something as a hobbyist try one of the other brands, but if this something your looking to use day in day out for work it is well worth the investment. ... show more

  • More powerful than corded multi tools..
Well built & powerful performance. I’m a general contractor & the “fuel” lineup is more than worth the investment for safe cord free operations. Tip: works best with 5.0 batteries.

  • It's a beast
Ordered the 2836-20 new fire 152.00 delivered with tax. Home depot seeking it for $229. Came in retail box sealed and wrapped as expected. Serial number indicates it was manufactured in November of 2023. So it's new. No sign of use at all. Cut through a 2x4 like it didn't even exist using the included blade. It's gonna earn its paycheck on Monday but I'm not expecting any problems. I love a block away from the Milwaukee headquarters and there more than helpful if there are problems. The battery is loose for some reason, but that's expected after watching the reviews of it on line. Also the chuck isn't fixed in place, probably for a reason. The only thing I'd change is the tool changing mechanism. It's kind of hard to unscrew the screw after using it. You'll need a screw driver or something to turn it when it's time to change. Dewalt's design is bulkier, but till charges are a breeze. But since I'm invested in Milwaukee tools and batteries this was an easy choice when I caught it on sale. All in all a great deal on a great tool that will make me lots of money. I'm happy ... show more
