Although easy to install and seemingly study, one of the O rings was defective. We got less than 5 minutes use out of the unit. For the lack of an O ring which I as unable to find a replacement, the unit is useless. Additionally, the trough only holds about a cup of water and the accompanying photo (that was advertised) leads you to believe that it's more substantial in size. I bought it for my pigs and they got used to it very quickly, but it leaks all the time, not much but drip drip drip. I didn't mind so much because they are pigs and it made them a huge mud bog, so it was helpful in that. I would have sent it back with any other animal or if I was paying for water, but we have a well, so no big deal. ... show more

While I'm sure this works fine for larger animals, I was under the impression that this one used a float that refills the water when it gets too low. Interested, it's a lever that the animal has to push with their snout. I have two young goats and they don't have enough weight behind them to make it dispense water, and when I do it for them, it comes out so fast that it scares them away. ... show more
