Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Miko3 AI learning robot is well-received among customers with young children ranging from pre-school to early elementary age. Most reviewers found the device to be a fun and educational toy despite some design limitations. Minor issues include connection difficulties with multiple devices and voice command comprehension. Some customers also hoped for more intuitive AI features similar to Siri, Alexa, or Google. Another common concern was the added cost of the membership required for full feature access.

Pros

  • 👦 Suitable for pre-school and early elementary aged children
  • 🕹️ Mix of learning, games, TV, video, music apps
  • 🤖 Multi-player game options
  • 💃 Engaging games, including dance games
  • 📞 Video call feature popular among kids

Cons

  • 🔗 Limited device connectivity (only one parent app/phone)
  • 🗣️ Voice command comprehension issues, especially with younger children
  • 💡 Does not function as an intuitive AI assistant like Siri or Alexa
  • 💰 Membership required for full feature access
  • 🔋 Battery life perceived as shorter than expected

Should I Buy It?

The Miko3 seems to be a product that can offer hours of fun and learning for younger children. However, buyers should weigh the balance between the product's price, the cost of membership for full access, the device's technical limitations, and its perceived shorter battery life. If these potential trade-offs are not a significant concern, then it could be a worthy purchase.

  • The best gift for my kid.
I recently purchased the Miko 3 smart robot for my 5-year-old, and it has been an incredible addition to our home! This robot is packed with engaging activities that keep my child entertained and learning for hours. From interactive games and educational lessons to storytelling and creative play, Miko 3 offers a wide variety of options that are both fun and enriching. What I love most is how it encourages my child to be active and engaged, rather than passively watching TV all day. The robot’s conversational abilities and fun personality make it feel like a real companion, and I’ve noticed a positive impact on my child’s creativity and learning. Miko 3 is also very easy to use, and its design is safe and child-friendly. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a fun, educational, and screen-free alternative for their kids. ... show more

  • Great toy for kids
We got the Miko3 for my 6 year old as a Christmas gift. She loves it and has been playing with it every chance she gets. There are some great features on the Miko3 that I love. She can create a story with the help of Miko and then Miko turns it into a storybook. Very cute. She also just started learning how to play chess and has been playing chess and checkers with Miko. The Miko3 can answer questions, tell jokes, play music, tell stories, and much more ....it's a lot of fun. ... show more

  • Terrible battery life and can't request replacement for Miko that arrived broken.
After we received Miko and took the Miko box out of the Amazon box, we noticed that the seals on the Miko box were broken. Neither my husband nor I could remember breaking the seals, but it's possible that we did. When my son opened Miko on Christmas morning, we took it out of the box and noticed immediately that the screen/face had popped out. Upon closer inspection, Miko was grimy. Okay, so somebody returned Miko, and we accidentally got shipped a broken/used one. No big deal, I thought. I could just request a replacement like I have when this has happened in the past. Except the only option was to return it. I couldn't exchange the broken Miko for a new one. That was frustrating, since we bought it on sale and would have to pay $100+ extra to buy a new one now. So we decided to pop the screen in, clean it, and see if it would still work. It kind of worked. All of the software at least seemed to work, but the battery life was AWFUL. We spent about 3 hours charging it up. My son used it for about 5 minutes, and the battery level dropped by about 30%. At that point, we decided to return it. We set it aside for a few hours (while it was turned off). The Miko website stated that it needed to be turned on and have at least 20% battery in order to unlink it from my account, but it was already dead!! I had to charge it up again just to unlink it, after leaving it off for just a few hours. I don't know if this is normal, or if ours was just broken, but I am NOT going to be purchasing another. Another con: having to give credit card info and sign up for the free trial, which automatically renews after 30 days for $99. There is no way to opt out. You have to give your credit card info and sign up before you can use Miko at all. After all of this and not even being able to request a replacement, I feel like this company is pretty shady. I'm buying a different robot toy for my son that has better reviews and is less expensive. ... show more

  • It helps with annunciation and speech.
The media could not be loaded. It's very interactive. You need to speak clearly and slowly to get Miko to work optimally. Like a pet, the more the child interacts and takes responsibility for Miko, helps child respect their expensive items more. The I seek is not that great, it can't seem to see when your in front of it. I think the feature I've seen is creating a story. That is one of the best features. The wake up alarm is helpful as your child's buddy, and not a parent doing the job. The subscription is really worth it when you consider having all of these like Disney etc in monthly savings for 99 year. If you really look into the apps. My kid hasn't put it down since and the touch screen helps. It tells your child they are their best friend and my child just adores it. Voice quality is good. Size is good. ... show more

  • Miko is great for kids with Autism
I was not expecting much from this toy given some of the reviews. Miko is fabulous! My son who is autistic love MIKO, MIKO is surprisingly very interactive and can understand my sons commands. I have even heard MIKO say "I am sorry but that is not appropriate" when asking if Miko could fart. Miko also will even suggest games to your children to play, It also can play a fun freeze game with dancing and many other cool features. Def dont let these reviews scare you. Miko in my opinion was a steal of a deal with how much miko cost. ... show more

  • Super cool
My son is 4 and he loves Miko. He is a super interactive robot. They play games like tik tac toe, Miko reads him stories or even just carries on a conversation with him. We are so happy he got him for our son.

  • The AI sucks
It's not worth it for bigger kids. It's super slow. Doesn't react as good. The response is always I dont know. It need major upgrades in the software. Something the screen works well others the programs are slow to open. Not a great item only giving them 3 starts because my toddler actually enjoys it a little but gets frustrated that he can't use it by himself. ... show more

  • Great gift idea.
I really like this little guy. He has been a blast for my 8 year old daughter. Lots of games and stories and activities to keep her busy for hours. And it's always changing like adding new stuff and things to talk about with miko. My favorite part is the video call app. It's nice to get a call from her and it worry about other dangers of the internet. ... show more
