For me it has more of a spearmint scent and luckily it wasn't too strong - since I'm not a big fan of that scent. It worked amazing! I normally dust using a dry cloth on my furniture. When I buy my furniture on Amazon, it usually says it's wood, but with the price, I think the word wood is very loosely based. Probably more pressed particle board than real wood. I'm always concerned about using products that might discolor or damage my furniture. I did test this wood cleaner on a small area first and I did not have any discoloration. I had just dusted my furniture the day before I received this product. It was amazing how much dust I got off my furniture with this cleaner and it left a very nice light shine. You have to make sure and shake it every time you use it and not to spray directly on the furniture and spray this cleaner on a microfiber towel. Smells great. Ingredients you don't mind using around pets and kids. Do the math to decide if it's worth it pricewise. Sprayer works well.

I love this plant based wood cleaner. It works well to give wood surfaces a nice polished look. My favorite factor is the non toxic ingredients in this. I have a couple cats, so I have to be careful about what types of cleaners I use around the house because I don't want to use anything that might be toxic I also love the fragrance of this. It has a light peppermint/spearmint fragrance that leaves everything smelling fresh without being too overpowering. It's better than the chemical odor of many wood cleaners Overall I am really happy with this one. It cleans and polishes great without leaving residue behind and it's safe for my fur babies. I LOVE THIS! It smells great without the chemical smell like so many other cleaners. I was pleasantly surprised that it had the power of the harsh chemical cleaners, but without the smell. I also have pets, so this does a great job making it smell better in the house, while keeping the pets safe from any dangerous chemicals. I just finished wiping down all my wood floors around my large area rugs and the wood looks really wonderful! I can see many other uses for this product, like restoring the wood on my piano, or my kitchen cabinets. Overall, this is an excellent product: I could not be more pleased! Worked well cleaning my kids wooden furniture, the cleaner did not leave any oily remains and cleaned most of the mess. The cleaner has a very light peppermint sent, but it dissipates almost immediately. I did noticed that it left the wood furniture dry after I wiped off the excess, it was not shiny and moisturized as with my regular wood cleaner. There is a lot I love about this product. Non-toxic, plant based, smells nice and it cleans well. However it says in the description that it renews wood shine. It does not. When you use a typical wood polish you see a bit of a shine after. Not with this one. It looks rather dull. I like that the scent is not too strong and it definitely smells minty. It just doesn’t shine. It your not interested in your wood looking polished with a shine and just want it clean, this is the product for you. ... show more

This Mighty Mint Wood Cleaner and Conditioner is labeled as safe for use around humans and pets. 4 ingredients are listed: Purified Water, Tall Pine Oil, Plant-based Emulsifiers...and Peppermint Oil, which gives it a pleasant scent. It's doing a terrific job at cleaning my wood furniture, kitchen cabinets, etc. Lifts off a crazy amount of grime; no residue, no streaks, no damage to finishes (it's suggested you test it in an unobtrusive area). I think it's strong point is cleaning, more than conditioning wood; leaves a light luster, but I follow up with my preferred conditioner.
